From last night it's raining, it's not heavy its rim zim typical august month rain in Bombay. So many things changed and still changing everyday but these rainy days they are the same. They have their own way to talk with people's .For some they bring happiness for some they bring joy of not going to office or school and for some they bring lot of emotions .Some feel happy, some feel sad .Rainy days are beautiful as well as ugly, take the way you want it.
Arpita is sitting on her sofa in her Bandra apartment trying to understand mathematics of life .So many things to add and so many to subtract and that's the life .They say life is not fair but life is beautiful too, life changes it color for each person .She doesn't remember what time she went to sleep last night may be 4 am or may be 6 am. She had good sleep though , almost 10 hours may be more .Its 5 pm now and from last 1 hour she is sitting in sofa and watching rain drops from window .May be she is just looking at them but mind is somewhere else.
She looks at watch and realize the time, well she still has more than hour to get ready .Riya called and said she will reach around 6 pm but u know traffic so don't expect people on time at least in Bombay .Both the one who is waiting and the one who is coming knows the secret of traffic and according to they manage the IST.
She finishes her last sip of tea and now its time to get ready .Looks like rain not goanna stop at least for today and Arpita doesn't mind that , at least she is not going out today .whole week she was busy with lot of personal as well as professional stuff. Today she just wants to relax and have good time with her best friend Riya.
Riya is one of the beauties with brain girl. Everything is going so well with her even she has some offers from bollywood movies but right now she is busy with hosting shows plus she has some stages shows coming up too. She never dreamt that life will become so beautiful in short span .For some people life is always struggle and for some life is piece of cake .Riya is happy go lucky and you wont find better modest person than Riya .She keeps everything simple and for her simple is beautiful. She was in college when she got offer and she thought lets give try and after that never looking back. She was never interested in gossips and affairs but one fine day Raj proposed her and she didn't find reason to say no. I guess one day he is going to bring barat and she will not find reason not to become his bride. Live life as it comes and enjoy it ,that's her motto. Why not when everything coming your way is always something special.
Riya met Arpita on some stage show in Delhi. They met first time and became friends for life .Some people just stuck in one meet and you just get along with them .They don't have anything in common except the industry they work. Arpita is almost 5 years elder to Riya but both think they are the best pals and no one can understand them better than each other .Arpita is always there for Riya and so does Riya. So when Arpita called her Riya just said yes without thinking her schedule. Well she knows she is in demand and popular and there is unwritten rule when you are on demand and popular and famous you can set your own rules. In show business success matters the most, all other comes later.

Arpita was in shower for almost hour; she just likes hot water especially in such whether.
She is looking fresh now, she just trying to put light makeup .she likes in kurta and jeans when she is at home. Door bell rings, it must be Riya, yeah it's almost 6.45 pm.
She opens the door and Riya is in front of her as expected same style, same smile .You will never see Riya without smile whenever you meet her. Its just makes you more comfortable.
Riya: Hey Arps u looking fresh, how was your Dubai tour
Arpita: Oh Riya I just feel so happy when I see you .Show was fine you know same stuff, nothing exciting .Everything well organized well planed and successful for organizers.
Riya: How was your performance, you must have rocked the stage .I just love when you are on stage.
Arpita: common Riya , from last few years I am singing same songs .Well that's what organizers want and I just do it , may be it gives me good return in terms of money.
Riya: Arps common you are the best and that's why they call you. I mean look at you, you are doing so many shows.
Arpita : yeah singing other's song , I am tired of them ,I just wish everything stops I mean everything , shows , songs , life
Riya: hmm first stop this Mumbai rain yaar and don't be pessimist, common you are the fighter and you the best believe me …
Arpita: anyway kya piogi, I got some tea I mean one of my fans gave me I tried and it tests well
Riya: Fan oh a handsome hunk, Dubai ka nawab
Arpita: nah some middle age lady, she said she is following my career my songs from last few years. Easy for her as no songs from me , all I am singing others songs at least easy life for my fans .
Arpita laughs and you can see the pain and bitterness in her voice and laugh.
Well discussion continues with cup of tea .Riya is aware of Arpita's mindset and she always tries her best to give her boost. She honestly believes Arpita is very talented and under rated singer. She is with her Arpita in all her ups and down and she knows the reasons of all Arpita's pain and bitterness.

Arpita talks from heart and she is not good with words always. Very easy to read her face and you can easily guess what's going in her mind. If she believes she is the best then she doesn't mind to tell .Modesty is not for her , she thinks life is all about confidence and faith in our own abilities. May be this thinking bought some kind of ego in her but who doesn't have ego. Some are smart enough to hide ego and some don't and may be few doesn't have ego at all.
Riya still remember the day Ashish proposed Arpita .She was doing some show and arpita was so excited that she had to stop shooting .she never saw Arpita so much happy. Aripta just hugged her and said 'Muze mera Jahan mil gaya ' and Riya knew it has to be Ashish. He is a gem of person. Arpita and ashish were friends from long time and Riya knew how much feelings they have for each other. Arpita is very fond of him and so does he .As such there were totally opposite in nature and may be that's what attracted them. Very cool, calm and modest. He wanted to be musician and he was trying his best. Arpita met him in one of the stage show and their friendship started from them. Weekly phone calls became daily and so does weekend dinners. Riya was waiting for that news from long time and she knew Arpita never going to say first. Riya was so happy for Arpita and Arpita was all glowing, her eyes, her smile .She was continuously talking about how Ashish proposed her.
After dating for 6 months they got married .Both were doing well as such at least in terms of money .At the same time they were chasing their dreams too. Everything was going well and life was full of fun and masti for both until the news came.Ashish got offer from one of the leading producer for his new movie .It was like dream coming true .He was so happy and so does Arpita .He was waiting for this day and it was his dream offer.He couldn't have asked for better, may be marriage worked for him may be Arpita bought luck for him at least that's what he still believes. Its just perfect I mean what else you want , you are with your dream girl with dream job .He thought may be God is too generous on him.
He met producer and signed the contract .He is going to give music to next three movies for that production house. They offer him the money he never expected .He bought apartment in Bandra and both moved there. He started working on his new work and he wanted his first album to be his best work .Arpita was so happy for him and even she reduced her shows ,she wanted him to concentrate on his music only.
Everything was going well till Ashish asked her to sing for his album. Initially she denied by saying she will sing in his next but when ashish was not listening her she said what she had in mind .Yes she wanted to become singer on her own , she doesn't want any favor from him .She thought he is offering her because he is her husband but that was not the case. Ashish always thought she is talented and he composed 1 or 2 songs by keeping her in mind. Well here Arpita's ego came and from that day their personal life got affected. Ashish was still cool and he was trying his best to make this relation better I mean she was the most important person in his life .But sometimes things doesn't go your way no matter how hard you try and one fine day they decided to give space to each other. Arpita wanted to move but Ashish threatened her leaving Bombay and Arpita agreed to stay in Bandra's apartment .Ashish rented new place and moved there .Its almost a year now and now days they hardly talk .

Riya really liked the tea and as such she is more tea person than coffee .Be it Barista or Chaiwala she enjoys it .Rain became little heavy too and outside it was dark now. Some soft music was playing in back ground .
Riya: Last night got call from Ashish
Arpita: Oh really how is he?
Riya : He is fine you know he is nominated for best musician category
Arpita: Yeah I got that news on show, He deserves to be winner
Riya : You know Arps why he called me ? He wants to go with you for award function
Arpita :Riya how many times we spoke about this , I mean its almost 3 months now we haven't spoke .I am not blaming him may be its me , may be we never meant to be together.
Riya :Arps stop this , you know how much he loves you and I know how much you love him .I just wish you guys get together again, that will be the most happiest moment for me.
Arpita: Riya please stop this ..This rain and whole environment already making me sick
Riya: so you missing Ashish right? Admit it Arps and there is no harm …
Arpita: May be but now it's too late ..I mean he will never forgive me for whatever I did for him
Riya: Well he might be thinking same ..Let me call him and find out how he is doing …anyway I need to return his call too
Arpita: no you not going to call him from here
Riya: arre how will he know I am here ..Will call from my cell Arps
Arpita: then you not going to talk about me
Riya: unless he starts...
She dials Ashish Number
Riya : Hi Ashu how are you ?Busy or u can talk?
Ashish: Hey Riya what's up girl? I can talk but how come u called me today ? You are the busiest host in demand now days..
Riya: Well when you called me that day I was busy with show...Anyway congratulations for the nomination
Ashish: thanks but no use I am not going unless Arps comes with me
Riya : well then call her
Ashish: She will say no if I call her..May be you can convince ..She might say yes if u tells her.
Riya: Well call her and ask yourself. I don't think I am that fortunate to convince her
Ashish: So you are with her don't you.Riya same emotional trick ..You are good and I hope your trick works this time , at least for me .
Riya: Call her and talk to her
She hangs the phone and arpita is looking at her.Arpita knows why Riya called Ashish.
Arpita: Riya you are bad I mean you just can't force me, and I am fortunate to have you as friend and never know about others but I think for you I can go against myself too.
Riya: so u going right?
Riya is smiling and you can see the winners smile on her face and phone rings .It must be Ashish .Arpita lifts the phone
Arpita: Hello who is this ?
Ashish: He Arps how r u?
Arpita: Oh ashu me fine what about u ? Congratulations you really deserve it
Ashish: so you coming right?
Arpita: well …
Ashish: Don't say no you know how much it matters to me
Arpita: What are you doing right now ?
Ashish: nothing just sitting
Arpita: you can join us if you want
Ashish: anytime give me 30 mins and will be there …
Riya is looking so happy , its like she won some kind of lottery or something .You can see lots of emotions on arpita's face too .Don't know how it will be .It might be one more turning point or it might be just one rainy night. After the phone they both were quiet and silence was killing Riya
Riya: you know Arpita I met Arijit , remember you both tried in same contest few years back .He was one of the jury for our last week's round
Arpita: How can I forget that show, that show changed me totally still don't know in good way or bad way .How is he.
Riya: He is doing great .He and Ashish became friends too.He is singing for Ashish.We spoke about you and few others from that show.
Arpita: yeah last time I met Rex on some stage show .He has put on lot of weight but he is still same full of masti.I heard Qazi is doing some movies and haven't heard about others.
Riya: I met others too most of them are busy with stage shows. You know I still remember that show .I was in school and I was madly following that show. I was your fan and still I am .You the best Arps but very unlucky .Believe me I saw lesser talented peoples doing great in music .
Arpita: Yeah because you are my best buddy .You know Riya sometimes I wish that show wouldn't have happened. It just changed me as a person .I just wanted to win there badly and still it haunts me .Pata nahi kya hota agar mai FG me contest hi na karti .Pata nahi shayad good shayad bad …
Door bell rings and Arpita opens the door .Ashish with one champagne and one wine bottle , he just don't want to waste this day so he is ready for both moods. Arpita and Ashish meeting after so many months .
They start talking from music to movies to everything .Everything is just going so right between arpita and Ashish at least for the moment. May be they are trying to be in one flow .Riya is not talking much just smiling , as such she don't have too .She is the best host and today she proved that one more time. Not only on shows, real life too she is the best host. Very soon she will leave them and leave them happily .
Rain brings emotions, it brings memories but today it bought two hearts together .Yeah it's raining and two souls are trying to be one in this rainy night.

Friends hope you enjoyed my fictional story about Aripita.I saw her on one show in some chanel and that day I just started thinking about her ...and my imagination went into 2012 and this is what I wrote.It helps me in writing and as its about Arpita I think FG is the best place to post.Atleast I will have audiance here for my fictional story 😛
