I think this show is going to the dogs. Their life revolves around food. I stopped watching the show, but read the updates once in a while and I wonder why I do that. Each and every character in the show crepes me out. 😡

I have nothing against foodies--being one myself. 😆The reason they do have a lot of food talks is because the show is about kitchen politics as are most shows. And right now, they're going for the split, so there's even more kitchen politics. It will tone down soon--at least, I'm hoping that it does. 😳

I am a foodie myself.. but when they started the show the theme seemed to be about an uneducated orphan girl and now the show has lost track.

The show was about 2 perspectives...

An orphan girl who wanted love and a pampered one who wanted luxury.. I think they have stuck to that especially when we look at Rashi and Gopi..

Gopi still is in pursuit of her husband's love which she has now but just does not realize.. And Rashi is after money and power.. Again she is almost there..

The food is as Rachna said because of the kitchen politics and as the show is a saas bahu one, it is the main thing that is used..

I just watched few episodes of this show and that was the first impression in my mind. Why everything is about food? But I don't yet know to judge Gopi's MIL because she seems protective about Gopi, but very strong personality.

All I can say is.. You will have to go back and watch from the beginning because unlike most shows the love story here in this show has been built very slowly.. Plus the characters have been solidified over time..

As for Koki, yes she is very strict, stern but is very good at heart. She is the MIL Gopi dreamed of... A MIL who is a mother to her. So she is really protective of her naive DIL.. Koki loves Gopi like a daughter.. She will scold her and admonish her but she is also kind and loving towards her..
