Anupamaa: Anu hits back, refuses 'bad mother' label and calls Rahi a bad daughter

Tonight's episode of Anupamaa opens with Banku questioning Anupama about her excitement for Leela's birthday, especially when Leela continues to behave harshly with her. Anupama calmly explains that no matter how strained things are, Leela is still like a mother to her. She admits that while she is clear about her own emotions, Leela often struggles to balance her role as a mother and a mother-in-law. Banku finds their bond difficult to understand, to which Anupama simply responds that some relationships are complicated by nature.

While walking, Anupama notices a house that is up for sale. Banku checks on her, sensing she has gone quiet. Anupama shares her dream of owning a house of her own someday. Encouraging her, Banku assures her that she will definitely achieve it. Their conversation is interrupted when they spot Khyati lying unconscious on the road. Once Khyati regains consciousness, Anupama grows concerned and asks about her condition. Khyati reveals she has been feeling unwell for months, experiencing symptoms like mood swings, nausea, and a sense of heaviness.

Anupama connects these signs to pre-menopause and discusses how such health issues are often ignored by women. Khyati mentions that Rahi had pointed out the same earlier. Anupama advises her not to take it lightly and urges her to prioritise her health.

Khyati then shifts the conversation, warning Anupama that Shruti could become a source of trouble in Rahi's life. Anupama remains confident that Rahi can think for herself, but Khyati insists that anger can cloud judgment. She cautions Anupama to stay alert, as people like Shruti often wait for the right moment to create misunderstandings.

Meanwhile, Banku shares that the only person he fears in the house is Leela, as he finds everyone else kind. Anupama decides to prepare a garland for Leela's birthday, expressing that despite constant conflicts, the Shah family always sticks together. Digvijay, on the other hand, admits he misses having a family. Anupama reflects on her own experiences of loneliness and says that those who stand by you in difficult times become your real family. She encourages Digvijay to give relationships a chance.

Elsewhere, Rahi expresses her wish to attend Leela's birthday celebration. Prem informs her that Hasmuk has personally invited him, so he plans to go. Vasundhara also decides to attend and, surprisingly, invites Shruti along. Gautam grows suspicious of her intentions and wonders what she is planning.

Anupama speaks proudly about her children, while Digvijay asks if she has spoken to Rahi. Anupama silently hopes that Rahi's anger will eventually fade. Banku and Digvijay stand by her, offering support. At the same time, Gautam questions Vasundhara, who reveals her true motive—she wants to witness conflict between Anupama and Rahi, especially because of Shruti. She even admits she is looking forward to seeing Anupama in pain during the celebration.

At the Shah house, preparations for Leela's birthday are in full swing. However, Leela becomes upset the moment she sees Anupama. Paritosh and Pakhi also show their displeasure. Leela refuses to bless Anupama, creating an awkward atmosphere. Anupama politely asks Leela to get ready, while Hasmuk questions why she didn't help with the preparations. Anupama explains that she kept her distance to avoid irritating Leela and quietly admits that she still longs to see her smile.

Ishani tries to interact with Banku, but Pakhi quickly intervenes and takes her away. Leela, meanwhile, gets ready and interacts with Kinjal, Mahi, Ishani, Pari, and Pakhi, advising them that dressing up helps boost confidence and keeps one feeling lively.

Anupama remains hopeful that Rahi and Prem will attend the celebration, believing they would not hurt Leela despite their differences. She silently wishes for everything to go smoothly without any drama.

Leela finally makes an appearance, surprising everyone with her look, but her expression changes instantly upon seeing Anupama. The atmosphere shifts again when Digvijay arrives at the Shah house, leaving Leela shocked.

In the precap, Anupama shares a warm moment with Digvijay, which does not go unnoticed. Shruti remarks that Anupama seems to have replaced Anuj in her life. Anupama firmly states that Anuj holds a place equal to God for her. Rahi, however, questions Anupama's growing closeness with Digvijay. When Digvijay asks Rahi to mind her tone, she challenges him, asking why he is so affected. She directly questions Anupama if Anuj has truly been replaced. This pushes Anupama to her breaking point, and in a moment of anger, she calls Rahi a bad daughter.
