Nayanthara signs Tamil Film with Gopichand

Nayantara has officially signed a Tamil film after her hiatus! Remember Gopichand, the baddie in blockbuster 'Jayam'? He will foray as a hero in Kollywood with this project.

The film will be produced by Jayabalaji Real Media and will be helmed by Boopathipandian. Gopichand had forayed as a villain in Telugu cinema as well and later took on the avatar of a hero and has several blockbusters to his credit in there.

Although Nayantara is touted to play heroine in Ajith - Arya starrer directed by Vishnuvardhan, there's no official confirmation yet. Vishnuvardhan clarified rumours through IndiaGlitz that the film will not be a remake of 'Race' and that once the team zeroes in on a title they will announce the project.

Nayan, post her reported break up with Prabhu Deva has been sending feelers to those in the industry that she is back. This film will mark her comeback in K-town.
