Gopi could not forget the moments she had shared with him and as she stepped into the room, all that happened came right in front of her eyes, giving her everlasting smiles. Her eyes sparkled with the dreams of having his love and acceptance. Just the way as she had dressed when she had got that necklace in the early days of her wedding, now too she was soaring with similar dreams of her beloved, with the same song being played then and now, "Naina mere..."
But reality had some different plans. Ahem having forgotten what they had shared, was already perplexed and irritated at not being able to remember anything since afternoon. He doesn't like to lose track of things, especially when it concerns him. When he saw everything in the room out of order and his mind not in place, he just overlooked the only thing which was very much in place, her.
But at the same time, he was concerned for her and asked her for the bangles. He is in usual dependent self on her and looked for her on the bed as soon as he got up in the morning and went down to the kitchen for his tea and clothes as a reason to see her face. He is still the same usual self but only her expectations as a wife have surfaced due to their shared moments.
I am happy that she shed tears, I am happy that she cried in front of Kanhaji, I am happy that she thought for her happiness for once! Sometime one needs to show what one feels and complain, even if silently. So would he hear her when she would be complaining to Kanhaji? Would he realize that she is hollow from inside and he needs to fill it up?
What he did to her he will get all that now, even if he doesn't deserve all that. He has almost proved himself to be a perfect man and a husband now, but he still need to realize that life just doesn't mean take, it means give also. He has given according to his set norms but has he ever realized that she wants more than that. Will her withdrawal make him wear shoes she had worn for a long time and realize how it feels to be ignored? Will it make him aware of what is missing in their almost perfect relation? After being hit upon with reality, he would have to suffer and cringe, but then it would solely be his responsibility to give a real meaning to their relation. It has to be him this time!
His anger and frustration at having headache and not being able to remember anything made him vent it all out on Gopi whom he has accepted with all his heart, but when will he shower love on her? He has got only her to be angry upon and only her to love whole-heartedly, sooner he realizes that, better it will be.
She used to look for him when she used to get up, today he looked for her.
He used to avoid her and do the bare minimum, today she did exactly that.
He complained of his frustration and pain many a times in front of his mom, today she did that in front of her Kanhaji!
So Kanhaji is not letting Ahem go without paying for anything before he actually confesses to her. And that day would be soon but after he has paid it all.
