Celeb style: Kareena Kapoor looks resplendent in Masaba Gupta sari đđđ
You must have seen Kareena Kapoor in sari at various occasions. But this look is certainly different. The actress, who was first to sport international designers in her films (like Kambakkht Ishq), has revamped her style sense for good.
At India Today Conclave, Kareena Kapoor bowled us over with her desi chic. A Manish Malhotra loyalist, Kareena for the first time went for a Masaba Gupta sari. The young designer, and talented daughter of Neena Gupta, Masaba has carved a niche for herself in the fashion industry. Her friends include fashion icon Sonam Kapoor, and though Sonam has worn Masaba on more than one occasion, other Bollywood fashionistas have now only started taking keen interest in Masaba's creations.
Zooming in on Kareena, she looks just splendid. The vibrant sari in lemon yellow with broad pink border is ogle-worthy. The sari is straight off the runway from Masaba's latest summer/resort collection 2012 showcased recently at Lakme Fashion Week. For the event, Kareena went for a bandhgala blouse with yellow motifs.
Her hair side-swept, Kareena used wonderful Amrapali polki necklace to complete her look. Fashion buffs have really liked Kareena in this sari. The fans of Masaba and Kareena have already started showering praises on Masaba's twitter account.
"I just died and went to heaven!! Kareena kapoor is wearing a@MasabaG Saree!! Dances," writes a follower. "kareena carries the Masaba sari so beautifully and with lot of graceâŚ" writes another one.
Masaba Gupta, too, has expressed her excitement on seeing Kareena on twitter, "Suuuper excited to seee kareena in my sari. Its a first."
