'My dream girl is just like Kareena'
Ejaz Khan is making further inroads into Bollywood. The actor, best known for his performances on the small screen, was last seen on celluloid with Tanu Weds Manu. He is currently excited about his second venture Zilla Ghaziabad, where he will be working alongside actors like Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Vivek Oberoi.
But he insists that he hasn't forgotten the small screen either and will be working in the upcoming Shubh Vivaah. "I am returning to television after a long hiatus, and this will also be the first time that I'm working with a production outside of Balaji. When I joined Balaji, I wasn't getting offers for shows outside. But now that I'm working elsewhere doesn't mean I'm not in touch with Ekta Kapoor anymore. I meet her regularly," he says.
"Even my last show with her, Kavyanjali, saw great TRPs, though it required us to do things like get my character married off three times," he adds. While we can wonder how many marriages he will have in a show whose title itself is Shubh Vivaah, we ask him about his marriage plans in real life. "I will eventually get married. In India, there is a lot of importance attached to marriages. But my dream girl will be someone like Kareena Kapoor. She lives close by but for now, I am content just seeing her around," he says, laughing.
