Days passed by and turned into months. Months passed by and turned in year. Inspite of the distance between them, the love they had for each other was blossoming with time and the distance made them realize the depth of their feelings for each other. But they still longed to be together, in each other arms and that longing was making their heart ache.
However they were hoping to see each other in Nupur's winter vacations and even mayank couldn't hide his feelings from Sam the way he use to any longer. The way days were passing since he will finally get to see Nupur after 1 and a half years, Mayank's heart was feeling anxiety, agony, longing, joy, worry, all at the same time.
"array ab to picture ke jagah khud Nupur ko itne pyar se dekhe ga tu."
Mayank who usually glared to seek complete silence from Sam, was in too dazed a mood to avoid the little teasing he was being subjected to.
"10 days.."
"exactly.." Sam picked the pillow from his bed and throwing it on mayank's bed, sat down , making himself comfortable and ready to take full advantage of his friend's relaxed mood.
"btw when is that when u plan to give her the good news?"
Mayank's face lit up at the mention of it and he grinned, " yes with a surprise of my own."
Sam ( whistling) "how I wish I was invited."
Mayank: (grinning even broader) "but u are not allowed buddy. If u are so interested in such surprises go find urself a girlfriend."
Sam: " now someone today is in a damn good mood! Did u talk to Nupur today?"
Mayank: " yup she called. An hour ago."
Sam: " no doubt I am getting a glimpse of THIS MAYANK!"
Mayank: " don't test my good mood Sam. Btw, I just got a confirmation call too."
Sam(sitting up straight) u are kidding me? And tum ab bata raha hai?" (quickly hugging Mayank) congrats yar! Treat kahan hai mere?"
Mayank: " wo bhe mil jaey ge. Ab tu jaey ga?"
Sam: " han han! Mein jata hoon take tu phir Nupur ke yadon mein kho jaey.."

His grin was broadened by the way Mayank threw the pillow at him.
Nonetheless blessing his friend's happiness, Sam quietly left the room.

"5 days Gunjan! Imagine! 5 days! I can't wait Gunjan!"
"I know princess!" Gunjan and Nupur were talking on phone and they both were equally excited. Nupur was coming back after 1 and a half years. She was going back to home. To her father. To Gunjan' to MAYANK' how much he had made her aware of his excitement and anxiety.. he was waiting for her and she, well all she could think about was being held in his arms while he whisper those 3 words again..
"princess?"
"hmmm'"
"jiju ko yaad kr rahe ho?"
"han na Gunjan.. I miss him.."
"awww' just 5 days jaan.. phir bus tm ho ge aur jiju hongay!"
"how I am waiting for exactly this Gunjan.. how I wish to meet him.."

It was like a dream. Leaving the airport after meeting Mr Buhsan and Gunjan. Mayank wasn't their for propriety sake as Nupur's relatives had also arrived to welcome her home.
It was beautiful being called by princess again by her dad and the tears they had in their eyes while they hugged. It was the welcome she had thought. Then there was Gunjan. It felt great to have your bestfriend back.
But she missed him. she wanted to see him. meet him. hug him.
Taking a deep breath she made her way towards her home, hoping she will get to see him soon.

"don't tell me! U have still not met her? I mean MAYANK SHARMA!"
"will u relax man!" Mayank glared at the disbelief on Sam's face. " I will me meeting her tonight."
"but she is home since a morning. I don't believe this!"
Sam was still staring at Mayank in shock and it was hard hiding his grin. Taking pity at his poor friend, he decided to tell him.
"Sam, I meet her tonight, with my surprise and the good news."
After knowing Mayank for so many years , this was all Sam needed for a reassurance and his grin matched Mayank's, " oye hoey! To plan ye hai! Mayank Sharma , I never thought I will live to see this romantic side of u, but I must say I am impressed. Keep the ideas I may need them sometime."
They both laughed and then Sam left while Mayank checked on his plans for tonight. He was taking Nupur out with every intension of making this most memorable night of her life. He had so much to say to her, so much to share, so much to confess but it will have to come in a special way this time. This time things will be done as they should be. He will confess his love, propose to her and then, give her the good news. Life won't be the same after tonight' it will be far more beautiful and with less insecurities.
