I like Barun Sobti, and I like ASR, but I can't stomach the fact that the so-called in-love Arnav can snore comfortably in his warm bed, wake up happy and stretchy in his hot t-shirt and just glance at her. I know most of the teens in this forum are googa over ASR in jeans and white shirt for Holi--but if Khushi is not given decent treatment, I won't be able to get back to this show no matter how hot the chemistry between the lead couple---the entertainment is not worth the angst I feel.
He hates her, fine--- let him make life difficult for Shyam, and get a new couch for his room, he can afford it---but he can't deny Khushi the right to a good night's sleep protected from the cold.
Will ASR sleep by the poolside when he realizes what an absolute jerk he has been?
I hope so. Nowadays I feel like stepping inside the screen and slapping him. ( Arnav, not Barun Sobti, of course.)
Besides, Logically: (this is for the CVs, who should once in a while use the logical side of their brains)
Mami Bond can spy on them during the day from the balcony on the other side, but does she go blind at night or in the morning?
People have been shown walking up and down those mysterious stairs from the pool---how come ASR is so sure snake cant come down the stairs to meet Khushi at night, or Khushi can't walk up the stairs to meet him?
Will the same guy--- who jumps when Khushi whimpers at her stuck necklace, and rushes to get her water when she chokes--- be able to sleep happy in his warm bed knowing Khushi is sleeping in the cold--the girl he knows very well is scared of the dark and sleeping alone?
Is anyone else as angsty as me because of this, or does ASR's hotness make up for it all?
EDIT 21 March:
So the CVs did make ASR sleep by the poolside.
I'm happy Khushi is on the bed---yes, but am not happy the way the whole thing was brought about. Why has ASR done an about turn? He is being a lot softer on Khushi ever since his memory of his own confession, but that does not make much sense. Does he have an inkling of Khushi's innocence? It is so sudden and un-ASR like to suddenly decide to go out an sleep by the poolside---the CVs could have made it slightly more logical. Anything would have done--- another bet perhaps.
By making Arnav sleep outside without a strong reason (he was merely irritated with Khushi)--- they made it strange. Arnav sleeping outside to punish himself for putting her through this would be a lot more powerful scenario.
As to Khushi and her Arnav-harao, khud-ko-ghar-se bahar-nikalwao campaign--- I have no problems with her antics, that is part of her characterization, though her shouting gets on my nerves a bit. It would have been a nice touch though to show a moment of concern/ empathy when Arnav leaves without his breakfast. That's a lot more serious with diabetics---believe me, all my in-laws are diabetics, and skipping a meal is not the most innocuous thing for someone with this disease... I think the CVs would sort of redeem that by sending her to office with lunch.
My problem with ASR and Khushi is different:
Why is ASR dumb enough to believe anything Shyam says? W*F? Why isn't he getting Shyam followed and putting together a dossier on him in case he needs to confront him in future?
Why is Khushi who is so strident in front of ASR so soft when it comes to Shyam? A bit of yelling like what she did in her room with Arnav would go a long way in saving her from Shyam's harassment.
Inconsistent characterization and jumping from comedy to drama back to comedy has always been IPKKND's flaw. Let's hope it does not become a fatal flaw.
