Arnav: What The? Did he just call Khushi di? (With a confused face)

Rahul turned around and noticed everyone's perplexed face's and then realized that all of them thought Khushi had remarried.

Rahul: Yes I did, and you must be Arnav. (He walked toward Arnav to shake his hand.) She's the world's best Di, and I will not leave anyone who brings a single tear to her eyes. (He looked around the whole room as he said that & everyone in the room looked down with guilt).

Arnav was still confused and looked towards Jia and then back at Rahul and said: But Jia?

Rahul filled everyone in with a small explanation of Saya's death and how Khushi had come into their lives. As Rahul was relating the story, he noticed how a few tears escaped Arnav's eyes and he could tell how regretful Arnav was and how much he must have repented for his actions. More importantly Rahul could see the love in Arnav's eyes for Khushi as he tried to meet hers. He also noticed the love in Khushi's eyes for Arnav as he saw her looking intently at Arnav as if in a trance. An emptiness he had seen in Khushi's eyes these last few years's seemed to have been filled as he looked over at her at this moment. Rahul knew that he would never be able to help Khushi change the past; however he could help her to change her future and realize how much she still loved Arnav, as he knew her future belonged with Arnav.

Rahul: Khushi, Its getting darker, should we head to the hotel?

Khushi nodded and everyone tried to get them to stay saying that family should not stay in a hotel when there is a home, but were silenced when Babuji told them firmly that it was Khushi's decision to make.

As Khushi was leaving, she turned around to look at Arnav once more and both shared an eye lock which said so much more than any amount of words would have.

Nani invited Khushi, Rahul & Jia for lunch the next day and before Khushi could object Rahul accepted the invitation.

On the way to the hotel, both Rahul and Khushi were quiet as they did not want to wake Jia up as she'd fallen asleep on Rahul's lap.

When they got to the room, Khushi asked Rahul why he'd accepted the lunch invitation. Rahul removed an envelope of papers and gave them to Khushi.

Rahul: This is why Khushi.

Khushi opened the envelope and was shocked to find divorce papers.

Khushi: D..Div..Divorce papers Bhaiiya?

Rahul: Yes Di. Don't you think it's high time you get a legal divorce since you've been separated so long? That way even Arnav and you will be able to move on. That is the right thing to do if both of you do not have any feelings for each other. Am I not right Di?

Rahul's words struck Khushi's head hard and again she again repeated : D..divorce? I.. I cannot sign these divorce papers. I.. I cannot

Rahul: But y di? Why hurt yourself more by still being bided by the law?

Khushi: I SAID I WILL NOT SIGN THEM. If he wants to sign them he can, but I WILL NOT OKAY?

Rahul: No di, this is not right. You know that. How will either of you be able to move on properly with your lives if you're still legally a married couple? He di, he passed her the papers

Khushi: I SAID I WILL NOT SIGN THESE PAPERS DAMMIT! (she tore the papers)

Rahul: WHY? (He also raised his voice. He was only doing all this to make Khushi realize how much she still loved Arnav) WHY DI? WHY

Khushi: BECAUSE I STILL LOVE HIM. I LOVE HIM DAMMIT! I STILL HAVE, HAVE HAD AND WILL ALWAYS HAVE FEELINGS FOR HIM. Every day for the these past few years away from him I have been asking myself the same question' Have I really moved on?' . The answer is No! NO! I will never be able to truly move on from him as I love him too much..Way too much

Rahul: Exactly Di, You love him very much. I know that and the point of all this was for me to help you realize how much you love him. Don't do this to yourself please, don't keep running away, you're only hurting your heart even more. Give him and both of you a chance, think of the past as a test for your love. After all these years the love still visible in both your eyes for each other symbolizes how strong your love is and that it's in your fate and destiny to be together. I'm not saying that it'll be a smooth journey the whole way, they'll always be hard patches along, but that's the way life is, isn't it? If you really love him, don't let him go now as you never know 'kal ho Na ho' Just look at my Saya for example, we had planned so much for our lives ahead and..

Tell him how you feel, I know he feels the same for you.. Tell him Di, tell him.

Khushi: But.. But what about you and Jia?? I cannot leave both of you.. You are my family..

Rahul: Remember for the last few weeks I've been telling you about expanding our business to Delhi and all of us moving to Delhi so that Jia can have a better future? Well, I've put a lot of thought into that and decided that will be the best decision. Don't worry, Jia and me will always be your family and if we all move, we'll be as close as ever like we were in Lucknow.

Khushi and Arnav confessed their feelings for each other and Rahul and the whole family moved to Delhi. Rahul and Anjali's feelings also strengthened and eventually they fell in love and got married. The Raizada house also underwent a major extension and thus everyone including Kantaben (Rahul's mum) lived happily under the same roof. Khushi also finally fully forgave all the Gupta's. You might ask what happened to Shyam? Well he got so depressed and stressed trying to find ways of escaping from his jail cell, so he had a heart failure due to increased blood pressure and passed away..
