When i said i place Ranveer's gesture at par with Bani's selfless act for her sisters i wasnt mentioning Bani agreeing to Jai's marriage... i was talking about a larger spectrum. About how both of them can be selfless when it comes to their family and loved ones. I really havent seen Ranveer being selfish perse... his actions are always based on his need to protect his family from the Dixit Sisters(He thinks they are EVIL!)
Coming to Bani's decision to marry Jai... she was almost forced into the wedding by Jigyasa's emotional pressure. So that was more of an involuntary... 'I Dont have another option' kind of a decision. While Ranveer took the decision in complete sense and without anyone forcing the decision on him which only meant he was ready to go any extend for the sake of his family. which is what makes him selfless... and this was what i was trying to say. I do agree he doesnt have to put with a wrath and jury of a person similar to Jai...but still it really doesnt make the situation any different. Ranveer's decision came almost in an impulse... he didnt have the time to think and ponder on his decision... it would have been as difficult for him as it was for Bani.

I hear what you are saying that Bani's and Ranveer's selfless acts are similar except I feel that Bani's act was of higher sacrifice ....Ranveer could never do what Bani did knowingly.

Greatness of an act is measured by taking the action when knowing how dire the consequences can be and Bani was brave to put herself in a hell of a situaton while marrying Jai...

Ranveer on the other hand is not doing anything that is not done many a times in a traditional Indian family.....

Hey but like everyone, I enjoy the spotlight on Ranveer and it gives our eyes a little variety from Jai and Bani...and Jai a much needed rest...

True Bani was pressured by Jigs (not completely)...
although Bani looks and acts Passive ... she Knows when to stand her ground . That wedding day when Pia fled with Pushy ..Bnai could Have put her foot down and refuse to sit in the Mandap ... But she really had a Lot of admiration and Respect for Her MR Walia .. coz he was at that Moment their Caretaker .. inspite Of Ranveer and jigs dissaproval .Bani Felt indebted to Jai .. coz in the world today No ONE takes care/responsibility of anyone especially in a Place like Mumbai .Jai was there for them where they had nowhere to go .. . This is the main Reason why she went thru with this marriage to save the grace and Respect of Jai. Thats the most/least she could do to repay for his Kindness .jigs is under the impression that she pressured Bani .. but if u all recall while she was .. bickering and blabbering in the room .. Bani was thinking and thinking real Hard .And of course .. she did feel for jai how Pia left him starnded .. when he Loved her soo Much .. that even thought he knew pia was materialistic.he was happy just having her around and providing her with .. the sahno shaukat .
