Payal and Khushi plopped down on the sofa, letting out a sigh. Finally after spending the entire day cleaning and organizing, they were finally settled into their new home. After dinner they put little Abhay down to sleep and now finally had time to sit and talk and just relax.

"We did it Khushi," Payal laid her head back on the sofa as she looked around the apartment.

"Yes we did Jiji!" Khushi looked at her sister who was trying really hard to bite back a smile but seeing Khushi all her efforts went down the drain as the two sisters burst out laughing, trying really hard to keep it down so they wouldn't wake up Abhay.

Finally after calming down, Payal took a deep breath as she held Khushi's hand in her own and put her head on her shoulder.

"We proved everyone wrong Khushi, look at us! On our own in a new city! We finally can shut them all up," Payal emphasized on the word 'all' knowing Khushi knew exactly who "all" she was talking about.

"You are right Jiji, and now we only think of moving forward! We have to make Bauji proud and we will do just that. I let him down once, but not again," Khushi gave a gentle squeeze to her sisters hand.

"Khushi, we promised we wouldn't talk about that anymore. It wasn't your fault! And now it's done and over with. Now we just to look out for the happy times and the new life we have started. You, me and my handsome Abhay," Payal reprimanded Khushi, but ended up smiling as she thought of her cute little nephew.

"Your cute little Abhay?! Excuse me?" Khushi asked in a offended tone.

"Yup! He is mine and don't you forget that!" Payal called out as she walked to the kitchen to get some tea for the both of them.

"You know Jiji, sometimes I feel like you don't love me anymore! I mean come on! Abhay gets all the attention!" Khushi complained like a two year old as she followed her sister.

"Since I don't silly! It's you against Abhay. Obviously we all know who the winner is. And plus I warned you when you were pregnant that once he comes no one will even spare to look at you! All the attention will go to my little man," Payal responded as she brought the tea.

"Fine then. You can watch your darling Abhay tonight when he wakes up while I can sleep peacefully," Khushi said cheekily.

"Don't I already do that Khushi?" Payal said in an obvious tone, teasing her little sister.

"Ya well. I am just letting you know," Khushi pouted, as she took a cushion and placed it on her Jiji's lap and laid down on it, placing the tea cup on the table.

The two sisters went on talking and teasing each other as the night passed, each avoiding the real thoughts running in their minds. They had come to Delhi but what now? Using all of their savings and some that Bauji had gave them, they had bought this small comfortable house. Khushi had told Payal to not spend so much money on the house alone but Payal had made it clear that their living standards would not go down, even if only for Abhay.

Just before going to sleep, Khushi made a mental note to call her office early in the morning letting them know she was in Delhi and would start working in two days once she was settled down. Before leaving Lucknow, Khushi had already applied for a job at a personal fashion firm and had got her appointment letter due to which the girls had decided it was time to move on. She hadn't thought twice before taking up this job since it seemed perfect and was worthy enough to support all three of them.

Of course she would give her all to the job but the nervousness of working somewhere new kept her mind in a frenzy. With multiple thoughts running in her head, she swiftly closed her eyes, forgetting all the pain the past had caused her.

20 minutes later, grabbing her purse off of the counter, she quickly got her dupatta and sprinted to the door.

"Di, I am going to work! See you later," Arnav said as he walked out.
