Just saw glimpse of today's epi and immediate drew a parallel between this story and an older tv show on Malayalam channel. It was called Minnukettu (translates to vivah). Neways, the show has the same characters as in this one and the plot seems the same too. If the plan is to copy the story from Minnukettu then its not going to be pretty... actually it will be a rona-dhona types with lots of dragging.
I was so excited to watch a show of Ejaaz after eons and the character he plays is such a disappointment... tho from an actors perspective it might be good that he gets to play a grey character. Though if he is anything like the guy in the mallu show, i will have no respect for him.

I think Ejaaz's proposal will first come for the elder sister. But his mother sees Neha and prefers her over the elder sister. So to fix the alliance of Neha, the father then gets the elder sister married to the guy who actually was interested in Neha first. I think he loves her but because of the situation the family is in, he agrees to marry the elder sister. He is a sweet guy and they have a partly comic but sweet relationship.
The elder sister and Neha's MIL always are sour to each other... and most of the times its fun to see her telling off Ejaaz's mother.

Out of all the girls i think the elder one is the only one who has a somewhat happy marriage (or rather a good husband) but even she suffers because of poverty.
The second sister marries Ejaz's character and for a really really really long time he treats her like dirt. It takes him ages to realize what a gem he married and to come around. Meanwhile his mother becomes her biggest adversary. (i hope it doesn't take that long for the Hindi version because people will be just bored... and moreover the antics that the mother and son play on this poor soul will just repulse you.)
The brother in this case becomes his bhabhi's biggest supporter. They have a sweet relationship and he tries his best to protect her.
I think he falls in love with one of his bhabhi's sisters. I think the third or fourth one. (the one who seems very bold). Their love story ends up in tragedy. And then she gets married to a looser who suspects her every move.
The other one (who is not in love with the bil of the second sister) gets involved with a sleezy guy and ends up pregnant... then she marries a wonderful man but is never quite able to love him. And by the time she learns to return his loves its too late.
The youngest sister takes a lesson from all her sisters' examples and decides that she will educate herself enough that she won't end up dependent on the male species. I think when the show ended she was the only sister still unmarried. The father dies... most of the problems in the girl's lives were resolved and ther MIL of the second sister reforms her thoughts about her DIL and takes in the younger sister too and treats her well.
The girl playing Ejaaz's sister marries a guy who initially is grey shaded but ends up teaching a lesson to the girl and her mother.
All said, I hope the hindi show is waaay different than the mallu one cuz the mallu show was unbearable for the most part. I was forced to watch it cuz my mom was addicted to the show and i know all this detail without even watching the show regularly. It ran for years and i would watch a certain some episode once in a blue moon and still this much i know. I hope the Hindi show doesn't drag like that.
