i dont even feel sorry for akshara any more...it is her own fault...she keeps encouraging their behaviour...she either needs to stand up for herself or just stop crying and complaining and suck it up...and i think she is picking the second option

to be honest i dont think in today's generation such bahu's exisit cause time and thinking has changed if there saas and in laws are doing wrong they will speak up and explain there side of the story not in a rude way but in a nice manner and i seen my best friend do this, even though her in laws dont understand but she still speaks her mind in a calm and respectable manner, yes in older gen ppl were lyk akshi example my mum who never spoke in front of my dadi even though it wasnt her fault at all till today she dosnt speak up so i always wonder is akshi 21st century bahu or the older century 😕

, Akshi is a bahu from the the year 1010!! no offence to anyone, but as much as akshi is shown as an ideal bahu, her character is also shown very WEAK, and they make her character like you should NEVER speak up in front other, just keep CRYING and saying SORRY all the time. and having your wishes and speaking in front of your mother-in-law, FORGET IT!!! THAT IS A SIN!! any ways, as much as i respect my culture, things like this REALLY bother, WHAT IS WRONG IS WRONG, doesn't matter if it is your Mother-in-law, or your own mom, or your own husband, or EVEN GOD is in front of you!! if it is WRONG, and you did not do anything wrong, SPEAK UP!! this is what really makes me mad about hindi serials, they make an 'ideal" bahu, who sacrifices EVERYTHING, listens to whatever other say, keeps crying, forgets her wishes..etc.. this doesn't make a so called "ideal bahu" it just shows a weak human being who can't stand up for itself. i am not saying talk back to you elders, but dont be like AKSHI!! i would NEVER want to be a bahu like her!

and i agree with the topic maker! things like this not only make fun of Indian serials, but it also makes a mockery out on our culture...if i showed or told about akshi character to my american friend, she would laugh at this!

Good topic but yes singhanias types of people are in this world and also akshi types of bahus or maybe worst.
