Charu sitting near a pillar. Ganga comes to ask for periamma. They both go to Naachch who is crying in her bedroom. Ganga wants Naachch to be her usual brave self, she is their mother. Karthik & Kula talking like this is not new. All this while they were talking about so many things but today he split Naachch & Subbu(ivvaLavu kaalam adhathaanE sollikittu irundhaanga, ippo what diff) He blamed Naachch to be the reason that Subbu ran away. (so what?? when did Naachch become so stupid - replacement for Subbuvaa) Rama too joins in, asking Naachch not to cry. Ganga tries to instil some sense into Naachch. Ganga asks if Naachch believes in what Karthik said. Naachch is worried that if Karthik himself talks like this what will the oormakkaL talk (adippaavi, ooru enna pEsumnuthaan imbuttu cryingaa) Ayya joins the chorus. Milk like Naachch's mind has been spoilt with poison by Karthik, who will suffer for his words & deeds he curses (EdhO avaraala aanadhu) Vadivu & Sara too present. Ayya asks Naachch to stop crying. The children are crying because of her. Charu says Naachch did not eat anything, Naachch wants Subbu to come and say that she did not run away because of Naachch that no one can split them, only then her manasu will cool down.(andhamma ennaikku kaNN muzhichchu, ennaikku vandhu, solli - kadavuLE kaNNakattudhE) Sara tells Naachch not to mind Karthik's words. Hundred times a day he claims that Sara is not his brother - just because he says would it be true. Come and eat he says. (innaikku title Come & Eat pOttruvOmaa??) All of them cry with Naachch to change her mind. Rama talks like Pramila of Thangapadhakkam : thunbapadravanga ellaam deivaththukitta muRaiyiduvaanga, andha deivamE kalangi ninnaa - periyamma pls... Now Charu's turn to say Naachch is more mummier than Subbu to them. If Naachch remains like this she is cancelling the wedding. Vadivu summa ninnaa eppadi - says that Naachch is like a baby (chubby nu solreengathaanE) she can not take harsh words. Naachch's anger is towards Karthik only, so the bride Charu should not talk like this. Ganga reel Ottufies all the good things that Naachch did all these days. Naachch has had enough of crying and the emotional blackmails. They all go to eat.
The Jos has come, is looking at the horrorscope. (ivvaLavu varushamaa paarthukittu irukkaar - innEran he should know it by rote - ennavO) The worried clan consisting of Ayya, Naach, MA, JC, Rama, Sara, Vadivu, Charu, Ganga form the semi circle. He goes on to say like the cine gossip magazines, yaaru yaara endha veetlEndhu paakaraanga, yaarukooda yaaru irukkaanga etc to conclude that Subbu is alive. A relief washes over the faces present. Ayya says only 8 more days for the wedding, will she back by then? (8 serial days = how many of our days - would love to have a conversion table like the earth days = mars days stuff) Naachch utters her doubt - how to conduct the wedding when mummy has gone amiss. Jos this time rolls the chOzhi after praying to all the Gods who ditched us. No problems at all. Charu's wedding will take place in front of her mother. Sigh of relief. Sara & JC wants to know which direction she would be. Ayya says all that cannot be said with josiyam (avaru sonna maththadhu mattum okayaa)
Ila & Manga come to the pond to wash clothes. Manga wants some gossip aval, asks how far is Charu's wedding vElais. All going good. Will Subbu be back by then. Hopefully, even the Jos said. They too are searching, Ganga used the police too, but no avail. Manga wants to know if Kula has a hand in this. Ila fights with Manga (ennavO avanga appa uththamaru, sathyaseelaru range la nenaipputhaan) Why blame Kula for everything shouts Ila. She did ask her father who claimed he was innocent. Manga tells she saw Kula at Subbu's house on the day she went missing.
Ila asks Manga if she is drunk (ungappaava paththi uNmai sonnaa drunkaa - dEvudaa) Manga saw Kula coming out of Subbu's house and driving away. Then why didn't you tell me all these days shouts Ila. Because Manga thought they would find Subbu by now. Now that things have gone out of their hands she thought of mentioning it. Ila warns Manga not to tell anyone about it. Ila would talk to her father and get the truth out, she vows to bring Subbu before the wedding and runs. Manga too wonders aloud like us - indhakadhai eppadipOi mudiyapOgudhO -God only light !!
Kula thoughtful ? No - calculative (dhandam hospital bill adhigamO??) Ila storms into the room scolding if her father would never change for the better. You even promised the other day and sitting as if you are not connected with it at all. Now where is Subbu athai she shouts. Kula says he does not know. Ila tells her father that she knows everything, she has proof that Kula is involved. Kula is shocked at first. Ila further goes on to say that Kula went to Subbu's house on the day she went missing. Kula would never go to Subbu's house he says. Not for virundhu but for vinai completes Ila. She also tells that Manga saw him. Kula tries the emotional blackmail part - you do not trust your father but that Manga? Ila is confused - to believe or not believe Kula. She loves her father, asks him to accept the truth, ayya, naachch and the rest will forgive him.
He again goes on the repeat mode - have no connection with the project missing of Subbu. Ila wants him to come right away to Ayya and say so, all of them are blaming him. Kula promises to come the next day if it would prove to Ila that he is innocent. Ila leaves (adhaanE paarththEn overnightla how can Ila turn Albert Einstein)
The next day Kula visits Ayyas' with the creepy BGM. Ila welcomes him. Ila asks Kula to say it aloud. Calls for ayya, Naach, Sara, ofcourse Vadivu follows. Ila says her father has come voluntarily to say that he is not involved in Subbu's matter. Naachch feels engappan kudhirukuLLa illai. She does suspect him very strongly. Kula wants ayya for proof. Ayya has a list to suspect Kula. He is the one considering Subbu as birth enemy (jenma virodhi) Ila says that her father too has a doubt - that Subbu went off to Kasi, Rameswaram because of importance to Naachch. Naachch asks Ila if she is so jealous of Subbu that she makes the statement to blame her father. Kula asks Ayya to use the Government help through his daughter and S-I-L instead of simply blaming him. Ayya asks Kula if he is saying so because they are unable to find Subbu.
