I am trying to understand who is Raizada. If Arnav is Raizada but how is Akash a Raizada too?

Did Arnav accept the Raizada name from his maternal grand mother?

Yeah. So Arnav's real last name is Malik, but he changes it to his mother's maiden name, which is Raizada.

yup thats correct

sometthing in arnav's past caused him to hate all his relatives from his dad's side and his dad

so he changed his last name to Raizada and also since he lives at his mother's place it seemd like the right thing to do :)

i was wondering the same thing when akash said he is akash raizaida but that's nani's family n arnav is nani's daughter's son.

Yup, Arnav's real name is Arnav Malik

Nani is a Raizada, and Arnav's mother is Nani's daughter

As we can guess from these episodes, Arnav's dad wasn't that great of a guy, and Arnav hates his paternal uncle as well.

I think after he and Anjali were kicked out of Sheesh Mahal, they changed their name to their mother's maiden name, Raizada

If all of you would take the pain and time of watching the First episode of IPKKND all your confusion will be cleared.

Arnav Malik changed his last name to his Nanaji's (grandFATHER) last name and became Arnav Singh Raizada after his own uncle (chachaji) threw him and Anjali out of the house after their parent's death.

Yes, he did it in anger and he took up his mother's maiden name.

Thank you all for the responses. I never saw the first episode so never knew and always thought he was Raizada until Akash said him name on the phone. So it got me thinking.
