As I saw the reaction of Rotli 1 (Anji) and Rotli 2 (Nani), I was strongly reminded of this line by Lavanya. Remember guys?
"Ek ladka ek ladki jo sab kuch karte hai, lekin bina shaadi kiye."
A few months back Khushi sat outraged as Lavanya explained the concept of live-in to a simple Lucknow girl . At this stage, Anjali just sat and listened to Lavanya only occassionally squirming in her seat and controlling her smile on Khushi hiccupping after stuffing her face with samosas!!!
Where was the parampara, khandaan and izzat then? Your brother can have a girlfriend (Anjali knew about this since the beginning of this show), that girlfriend can live in the house, that same girl can be introduced in social parties but your brother gets married and lo and behold, he has committed a sin?!?!?
What do we call this hypocrisy? Yes, for sure and that too of the highest order. If the Rotlis only spoke about how Arnav cut them off from himself by taking such a step I would totally support them. But this khandaani rivaaj and all that seems like eye wash today since they already let their Chote bring in a live-in girlfriend in to the house. Their reaction is almost as if Arnav got Khushi in to the house without marrying her and has said that she is an unwed mother. Get over it people!!!!!
Payal, Akash and Mamaji, whether they are there or not its the same thing. They are non-entities. Such spineless characters are really annoying. They should develop some meat in their characters otherwise they might just leave the show. They have only ornamental value anyway đĽą!!!
I loved Arnav and Khushi's behaviour today. Controlled and not OTT. I simply loved the concern in Khushi's eyes when the family was talking down to Arnav. She felt his pain and somehow I feel despite the fact that she doesnt really understand why he got married to her, she believes that there is strong reason. He is bearing nonsense from his family for this, isnt he? She is going to be his anchor, not before their share of troubles but she will be...
