I loved today's episode. I don't have many expectations nowadays, unless it's the expectation of being disappointed and depressed. Which isn't very good.
Today, however, I sensed progress...Khushi's simple gestures suggested a new found confidence in her relationship with Arnav, that undefined relation ship, complicated relationship with no name.
The way she entered his room and closed the door behind her. A conversation which was too deep, personal, private to be shared with whatever lay past those four walls. The way she sat before Arnav, her vulnerability obvious but in a way she was completely surrendering herself, I use the word in an inexplicit and pure manner. She was confiding in him, allowing herself to open up and share her woes, somewhere without even thinking about it, she felt it was safe to do so... and he listened as she calmly explained her dilemma,
"I was orphaned at a young age, these people adopted me, they were everything to me...yet as a result of my actions I was abandoned again. I can't change those actions..but it'll help, in fact it is imperative you tell me why I was made to take a step which ruined me".
The way she addressed him plainly, "Arnavji". There was no anger in her voice, nor was it in any way demanding his attention...yet it was so natural, so genuine that he couldn't help but look at her. The pain in her voice as she told him how lonely she was in that moment and the sympathy and even guilt was so clear in his face. Ironically, I don't think I ever witnessed so much understanding between the two and the pain that was in her eyes, reflected in his.
But Khushi's stronger now, she acknowledges her rights. When he refused to give her answers she is stable and sure of herself to demand them.
The way she shook him when he didn't respond, the way she shoved him taking out all that angst bubbling inside her...and when he turned, I was floored. She did the one thing I didn't expect her to..held onto him, held him back. Refusing to let the conversation die down. That is a new found strength and I was left in awe of Khushi. Usually she'd let him walk away and cry at the insults he'd hurl, he dodged in the same way again today but when she spoke I supported her wholeheartedly, "That isn't the answer to my question..."
It's this fearlessness which resulted in her actions today, she's wounded and the only person with the cure is Arnav.Brilliant.
