His off-screen Casanova image has certainly been put to good use. Rohit Roy will now be seen playing a philanderer in the Jimmy Shergill and Neha Dhupia starrer, Delhi Heights.
€œI play Bobby, who owns an advertising agency. He keeps running into beautiful girls everyday. Although Bobby is very happy with his wife (played by Simone Singh), he has a roving eye and thinks he€™s not in the wrong when he€™s flirting. I know a friend who€™s exactly like Bobby and I have tried to ape him in Delhi Heights,€ says Rohit. €œI know I have an image of a flirt. I think that€™s why they cast me in this role so that the character would appear more believable. I€™ve nothing against the media for labeling me as a ladies€™ man.€
Well, in that case, what€™s the difference between the real and reel Rohit? €œThe only difference is that I stop at healthy flirting while my on-screen character takes it to another level. In real life, I know where to draw the line. Those who know me will admit that I€™m a family man. With a wife like Manasi, I would be stupid to go astray. In fact, she has been present at all those parties where I have been clicked posing with different women. Thankfully, being an actor herself, Manasi understands all this. I am glad that to have a wife like her,€ says the actor.
Apart from this, Rohit is busy with Baat Pakki, a film that€™s being directed by Meghana Gulzar, €œBaat Pakki has Fardeen and Esha in the lead. It€™s a story about four honeymooning couples. I don€™t want to reveal the name of my co-star at the moment,€ he says.
