Pari entered Geet's cabin excitedly''.."Geeet'.yaar teri to life set ho gayi, kya kismat payi hai tune, aise dreeeamy boss ke sath kaam krne ka mauka'..hayeee''yeh to business magazines ke cover pages pe jitna hot lagta hai, usse kaaahiii jada real life me hai'''..kaash mera naseeb bhi tera jaisa hota aur aise hot hot client ke sath kaam krne ka mauka mujhe bhi milta''😍" Pari was all lost in thoughts of MSK and didn't notice Geet, who was more worried of loosing her job now than she was in the morning when she came to the office late. "Babaji aisa hamesha mere sath hi kyun hota hai''us ullu ko hi aapko Maan Singh Khurna banana tha''aab to woh mujhe bilkul nhi chodega, pura badla lega mujhse kal ka'kahi phirse apni gadi repair karane ko to nhi boldega, nahi nahi Geet...woh to kal woh gusse me the na isliye bola hoga, itna bada aadmi hai, insurance to kar hi rkha hoga...par par, kuch na kuch to zaroor karega...kuch aur nahi to aapni un badi badi aakho se hi darata rahega...Babajiii...aab aap hi batao meri koi galti thi kya...who hi to mujh pe aise chillane lage...to main chup chap kaise rehati???"...Geet was blabbering all this to herself when Pari interrupted her'..
"Geeet, tu sun bhi rhi hai ki main inti deer se kya bole ja rhi hun...vaise koi nhi...karle karle aapne babaji ko thanks...itne mast boss dene ke liye tujhe babaji ko to zaroor thank krna chaiyia".
"Pari main Babaji ko thank nhi kar rhi hun, unhe meri jaan bachane ke liye pray kar rhi hun"'..
"Kyun Geet...kya hua...???" Pari asked her, with a puzzled look.
"Pari tujhe yaad hai maine tujhe kal us gadi wale khadoos ke bare me bataya tha jiski car se kal meri takkar hote hote bachi thi..." Pari looked at her with a confused expression... But then she suddenly realized " OMG Geet...woh hi gaadi wala jo tujhpe bhut chilla rha tha, aur jise tune badle me khoob sunaya aur taunt maare...nahi Geet, please aab yeh mat kehana, ki woh Gadi wala aur yeh Maan Singh Khurana ek hi banda hain..." Geet just nooded her head in agreement, making a pouting face. "Oh no Geet... yeh tune kya kar diya...aab kya hoga..."
"Pata hai Pari, sab pata hai...abhi meeting me hi aise looks de rha tha jaise vahi mera murder kardega...aab main kya karu Pari...mujhe kya pata tha ki woh aakru Maan Singh niklega...meri hi sath yeh sab hona tha..." cried Geet.
"Geet tu tension mat le, hun na ek kaam karte hain, boss ko sub kuch bata dete hain, aur unse request krte hain ki woh teri jagah kisi aur ko onsite bhej dein, aur tu office support ka kaam krle, isse tu project pe bhi kaam karlegi, aur us Maan se tera pala bhi nhi padega".
"Tu sahi keh rhi hai Pari, chal hum abhi chalke boss se baat krlete hai..."Geet said.
"Kya baat krni hai mujhse tumko?" said Mr. Chopra, entering Geet's cabin. Both were stunned seeing him and all the plans they were making just a few seconds ago, ran down the drain. Pari excused herself immediately and ran away from the cabin, leaving Geet alone.
"Bolo Geet, kya kehana chati ho tum mujhse'.ki aaj itni late kyun ho gayi tum ppt ke time par'.." Geet instantly looked at him'.. "Woh woh sir'woh actually'.woh rikshaw puncture'.woooh"'. "Bas Geet, I don't want any excuses from you. Tumhe pata hai na ki yeh deal kitni important hai hamari company ke liye. We are new in the market and Khurana Constructions is an established name. So when they announced opening of their branch office in Amritsar, how hard we had pitched in to get the contract to do their software installations. We need such projects for the growth of our company. So I hope you understand the gravity of the situation and not give Mr. Khurana any reason for complain. I am trusting you on that. Give it your best. Are we clear on that?"
"Yee'Yes sir"'.tweaked Geet in a low voice.
"Very good'.make your preparations to report at their office tomorrow. Here is their office address. Good Luck!"'.said Mr. chopra and left her cabin.
Geet just kept on staring at the address.
Next morning'.
Geet reached Khurana Constructions. The building still seemed to be undergoing its finishing touch. She entered the reception area and gave her name to the receptionist. Immediately an average height man with black spectacles, which he kept pushing up his nose repeatedly, and with a friendly expression on his face came to meet her.
"Good morning Ms. Handa. Welcome to Khurana Construction. Nice to meet you. I am Adi, the chief accountant at this firm." he extended his hand towards her. It immediately reminded her of her yesterday's hand shake with Maan and she dropped the idea of shaking hands with Adi. "Agar boss aisa khadus hai to employees bhi uske jaise hi honge. Nahi Geet agar aapne haath pyare hain to aaj yahan kisi se bhi haath na milana...samjhi" ... thought Geet. She passed a cute smile to Adi, she just waved her hand in the air and said "Hi Adi sir, nice to meet you too. And you can call me Geet."
Adi gave his "ha ah ah ah'" smile and withdrew his hand and said "So Geet shall we go inside so that I can show you your cabin."
"Sure'."'..said Geet and they went inside.
"So Geet, here, this is our office. This is Maan sir's cabin, I sit there in the cabin directly opposite to him. And here, this cabin, adjacent to Maan sir's cabin...we have set up your workstation here"
"KYA'..Maan sir ke adjacent...😲" Geet said in a little high pitch. Adi again gave his symbolic laughter at her reaction "Woooh..acctually na Geet, since all the rooms are not yet ready to be used, we had to use this room for your work, which though traditionally is the boss's secretary's room. I really apologize if it is any inconvenience for you"
"No sir, its ok, I am absolutely fine with it''.(bas yeh hi hona bacha than, ab to us khadoos ki chaubisoo ghante mujhpe nazar rahegi, us glass seperator ke thru...Babajiii) "
"Don't worry Geet its just a temporary arrangement. We'll shift you in your room as soon as it is ready to be used. Aur haan maine tumahare instrucions ke hisab se sab setup karva diya hai, still if you need anything, you can reach me anytime "...said Geet.
"Thank you so much Adi sir, you are so nice. Vaise ek baat kahu agar aap mind na karein to"'..said Geet.
"aare bolo Geet'..you don't have to be formal with me"'said Adi.
"Kal Maan sir se milke mujhe aisa laga ki unke office me sab unke jaise khadoos honge. Paar aap bhut ache hain. Kitne ache se mujhe sab bata rha hai. Thank you " and she extended her hand towards him with a smile on her face.
He smiled and shook her hand.
"Agar office me socializing karni puri ho gayi ho to kuch kaam karein..." thundered MSK's voice behind them.
Both Geet and Adi were shocked to hear his voice and immediately turned to come to face the angry glare 😡 of our one and only Maan Singh Khurana.
"OMG aa gaya saadoo...aab main gayi kaamse. iss dharti par aapni aakhri ghadiya ginna shru karde Geet puttar...'thought Geet.

He was standing at the door of Geet's cabin with folded arms staring at both of them. (You can imagine the characteristic MSK tune playing in the background 😆 ) Geet and Adi both had their mouths open in the mid air, starting at MSK.
On not getting any response from any of them, he unfolded his arms and shouted.. "ADI..."
"Yeee...yee...yesss sir...sorry sir"...stammered Adi.
"Maine tumhe Delhi se yahan kaam karne bulaya hai, time pass karne ke liye nahi...Mujhe abhi issi wakt Mehata's ki file chayia"
"Ji sir"
"Aur haan, Ms Geet ko agar office tour dene ki jaghe unhe unka kaam samjhaoge to better hot a...par aab lagta hai yeh kaam bhi mujhe hi karma padega...Panch minute me, in my cabin both of you..." he again stared at Geet who was still staring at him with an open mouth. "Mujhe khadoos kaha''Ms Handa'..aab main tumhe bataunga ki Maan Singh Khurana kya hai...just wait and watch"...thought Maan and left from there.
Maan's cabin..
Both Geet and Adi are standing in Maan's cabin but he is busy studying his file.
"Haad hai yaar...pichle 15 min se hum yahan khade hain, aur yeh hain ki bas aapni file hi padhe ja rhe hain. Agar itne hi busy the to baadme bula lete. Dush kahi ke "...mumbled Geet.
Maan closed his file and looked at Geet "So Ms Handa"...
"Geet bhi chalega sir"'.said Geet, but immediately her mistake.
"Main yahan kaam ki baat karne ki koshish kar rha hun...aur tum...isske baad meri baat puri hone take k shabd bhi nhi bologi...samjhi tum"...said Maan
She nodded her head.
"Yahan Khurana Constructions hum sirf excellent hi nahi, but outstanding performance accept karte hain. I hope tumne abtak to apna workstation check kar hi liya hoga. Agar tumhe koi bhi problem ho ya kisi cheez ki zaroorat ho...to yeh meri problem nhi hai, tumahari hai, aur sirf tum hi usse solve karogi, koi aur nhi. I am just concerned with the results...do you get it...Mujhe yeh installations jitni jaldi ho sake utni jaldi finished chayian, it should not take even a day more than 4 months.I don't care how you do it"
"Paar sir..."
He raised his finger... "Meri baat abhi puri nhi hui hai...ahan tak employees ko train karne ka sawal hai, office hours me to yeh bilkul nhi ho sakta, so 6 baje baad hi tumahe training classes leni hongi. I can't let my work suffer at any cost."
"Paar sir, yeh to theek nahi hai. Iss tarah to mujhe roz office me 9 ban jayenge...main itni late ghar...I mean kaise.." this time only his angry stare was enough to mum her.
"Agar tumhe ghar jaldi jana hai to office aane ki hi kya zaroorat hai. Ghar hi kyun nhi bath jati permanently. Aur itni hi problem hai to main Mr. Chopra se baat krleta hun abhi and ask him to send me someone more responsible and dedicated towards his work and jiske yeh ladkiyo wale drame na hon"...said Maan mockingly.
"How dare he...how dare he think that I am not dedicated for my work. Male chauvinist kahi ka"'...mumbled Geet.
"Kya kaha..." asked Maan.
"Nnn nothing sir...I am ready to do the work. For me, my work is most important and I will give the best of the results. You just need to convince your employees to stay back at the office for extra hours"...said Geet in a confident voice.
"KC ke employees ke bare me tumhe chinta krne ki koi zaroorat nhi hai...unhe kya kana hai aur kya nhi yeh main decide krta hun...So I guess it is all settled now. You may get to your work now"...Maan said and picked up his file again.
Geet and Adi left his cabin. Maan slightly curved his lips "Aab dkhte hain kya karti hai... yeh...Geet Handa..."
