Director Karan Johar seems to be in awe of actor Kareena Kapoor. It seems the director now considers Kareena to be his lucky charm. This comes after the recent success of his latest production, the Imran Khan-Kareena starrer Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, at the box-office.
The film garnered the same kind of accolades that Kareena received for the smash hit film Jab We Met (2007). And since the film's release the cash registers have not stopped ringing. It has made Karan decide to cast Kareena for at least one film from his production house every year.
A source close to Karan tells us, "Yes, Karan considers Kareena to be very lucky for him. And why not, if you look at the business her latest film has made. He has always been close to Kareena and now their friendship is turning out to be very fruitful for business as well. So, Karan has decided to sign Kareena for at least one film of his productions, each year from now onwards."
It maybe recalled that Kareena was the original choice for Karan's film Kal Ho Naa Ho, but the long-time friends apparently haggled over price. Actor Preity Zinta then stepped in to do the film. Karan and Kareena have resolved their issues since then. —Sayantan Dalal
