If anyone said that the experience of spending time with the one you love, will be a sweet one, especially after one realises just how much one has missed their partner, after one realises the value of that person and after one realises the role that person plays in their life, Ahem would have made changes much earlier on, Ahem could have missed Gopi much earlier on and Ahem should have felt these feelings earlier on. But fate has dealt a different card that has gradually brought him to this state of mind and has spun its web of love around Ahem making him want to think, feel if he allowed himself, breathe, see and smell only HIS Gopi.
This is the point Ahem has brought himself to where his mind stopped and his heart took over completely. He was gobsmacked and smitten to have his wife with him all to himself. A sudden stopover for some kulfi led to a spontaneous moment of buying a rose and giving it to her. This time whenhe handed the rose it was done with love, warmth, respect and a greeting to Gopi, quite unlike the time when he was forced to hand her a rose at Kinjal's engagement to Elesh. This in turn led to him volunteering to have the remainder of her portion of her kulfi.
The magic ended when they returned home leaving him literally and metaphorically full as he had eaten a larger portion of kulfi and that he was elated to have HIS wife back home with him. What a contrast to the time when he brought her back for nani's sake!
When he had ethereal looking Gopi giving him his green tea, he momentarily thought this was not real but a dream like before. When this converted to reality he was so relieved that he effortlessly expressed his worrying thoughts.
It looks to be that Ahem is heading towards a reality crisis where his private wants of spending time with his wife are beginning to clash with the real life of his mum, the extended family and work. How will he work his way around this?
But for now let us enjoy the better part of Valentine's Day with drinks and celebrate Ahem's moment where his heart swelled with love.
