No Nikhila, there was no drift and it was certainly within topic. Two reasons:
1) I mentioned it in my original post
2) My subject has 14th Feb which had events.
As many would assume, 14th Feb being the Valentine's day, we may assume that we got to see valentine's moment, but in HD style, there was nothing close to valentine moment yesterday. There was not even one single scene, look, thought, talk between the leads. And to keep the viewers like me excited, I was waiting for the SBB scene which said something about valentine.
So HD went unconventional again, that they show it as off-screen item but not as part of the show. Very unlike the KITE-FLYING scene incorporated on Sankranti occasion.
Let me tell you as a Delhite (until 2003 and now who knows what changed), KITE-FLYING happens ONLY on 15TH AUGUST, Independence Day.
Delhi does not celebrate Makar Sankranti, it celebrates Lodhi on 13th Jan with all those Fires so apt for the cold winter shroud on Delhi horizon. In that freezing cold, who will fly kites????
That flying kite scene was Mumbaiyya and Gujrati style and I as an erstwhile Delhite did not feel honored at all for skipping Lodhi events and just indulging in Kite-flying. Ila Bedi being the punjabi should have known better !!!!!
Borna, Agree on SBB take. Same feelings here.
