You are not from a film background; did you not face start up problems? roshni.chopra> No start-up problems, I do a lot of theatre and I was cast through that. pratik> Let me first congratulate you on your excellent presentation do you plan to continue? I am sure you will make a new mark in Indian cricket. roshni.chopra> Yes I would like to continue in Indian cricket and breakthrough the stereotype of a woman as a glamorous object. hotbil> What is the one thing you always keep in your mind when you face camera, people or any unknown circumstances? roshni.chopra> Self belief and honest intensions. sar_ahi> Hey Roshni you look great in the Fourth Umpire but don't you think you need to rethink over your decision? roshni.chopra> What decision? prince3k> Hi Roshni, please tell us about your first movie? roshni.chopra> It's in English and about people from our generation and is centred around a party, it is loads of fun and has a very relevant story line. sar_ahi> Hi Roshni you resemble Mandira Bedi who came on Sony Max don't you think so? roshni.chopra> For one I'm a lot younger and I have a different dress sense than hers and obviously different view points. surbhi> Don't you plan to do the small screen, any serials in the pipeline? roshni.chopra> If there is something interesting and different then maybe. mtvhost> Hi Roshni how do you feel being an actress? roshni.chopra> Great, I think it gives you the opportunity to live someone else's life and get into their mind and experience new and different things. retry> I saw Fourth Umpire and felt that you were not taken seriously especially by Srikanth, was that so? roshni.chopra> Not at all, each one of us play a different role and it's nice to have some fun on the sets. We all get along very well. prince3k> Hi Roshni, was your selection in Fourth Umpire meant to challenge some other show? roshni.chopra> Each show is different and special and I hope my show has something new to offer. nadia> Where do you belong from? Please tell us something about yourself. roshni.chopra> Born in India, lived in England and the Middle-East. I have been back for a year and love Delhi. pratik> When do we next see you in cricket commentary again? roshni.chopra> Very soon hopefully. Keep a lookout and I'm sure you'll find out. prince3k> Hi Roshni, please tell us about your Bollywood experience? roshni.chopra> Very unlike Bollywood. Everyone on the set was very friendly and I had a blast while making this movie. friendly> Do you have any boyfriend? roshni.chopra> Loads of friends. retry> Was there a dress code enforced in the show? roshni.chopra> Yes, DD is a national channel and they have a very traditional image which had to be projected. cutie> Which all plays have you done? Don't you think theatre is much better than Bollywood? roshni.chopra> Stage and TV are very different. Both are extremely interesting but my first love is theatre. prince3k> Hi Roshni, I think your sweet smile is your plus point. Do you agree with me or what are your plus points according to you? roshni.chopra> I'd like to think my brain, and thank you for your compliment. rky> Why do you think female commentators who are good looking like you are being roped in? roshni.chopra> To add a human glamorous female element and give a voice to 50 per cent of people who are women. mtvhost> How do you differentiate with the new generation actresses like Celina, Priyanka and Neha? roshni.chopra> Watch my movie and you'll find out. fifth umpire> Has anyone ever compared you with Mandira Bedi? roshni.chopra> Yes, all the time because she was the first woman to be included in cricket and it's a very natural comparison to make. anuj> Don't you think girls like you and Mandira are being used just to attract attention for those stupid programs that DD broadcast in comparison to ESPN and Star? roshni.chopra> No I don't think so, even though there is a glamour value it is an evolution on programming centred around India's favourite sport cricket. swapnesh> Do you think item numbers and exposing adds to a actress's screen value? roshni.chopra> Not at all. Item numbers are not my cup of tea and I don't see any extra special value. josh_adi> When is your debut movie getting released? roshni.chopra> February, watch out for the promos in January. pratik> Were you aware of the terms in cricket before you got the Fourth Umpire show? roshni.chopra> Yes I've grown up watching the game and understand it very well. manu> So who do you think is going to be a champ in India-Australia series? roshni.chopra> Ricky Ponting is on a huge up especially after his new appointment as the test cricket captain, and from the Indian side I am looking forward to watching Ganguly. kumar> Hi Roshni, who is starring with you in that new movie? roshni.chopra> Ashish Choudhary from Qayamat. rky> What would you do if you were offered Fourth Umpire show with double remuneration for less popular games like kabaddi or kho-kho? roshni.chopra> Cricket is a passion I don't know much about the other games and would not like to talk about a subject that I am not too familiar with. prince3k> Hi Roshni, now after acting in movie, do you think it is ok to host or act in any programme on TV? roshni.chopra> Yes, I am not under any illusion about films. I like to do different things and explore different avenues. kopper123> What do you have to say about India's performance in the game this morning? If they play like this to a second string team imagine what would happen against the national Australian team, even the thought is scary. roshni.chopra> The pitches in Australia are difficult to play on. It is a challenge for our Indian team. It's good for them to get beaten in unimportant games so they can buck up by the time the series start. sukhoi> Roshni who is your favourite cricketer? roshni.chopra> Sachin is the man! roshni> Which director would you like to work with and who would you like as your co-star? roshni.chopra> Karan Johar is great because he is the epitome of emotional Indian values. I would like to co-star with Saif because he is extremely sexy. prince3k> Hi Roshni, are you satisfied with the standard of today's Hindi movies like Jism, Khwahish, Hawa, Boom and many more? roshni.chopra> I think it's a path of evolution. Jism was nice but Boom was a big let down. ajayp> Who do you think is better host - Harsha or Charu? roshni.chopra> I have not worked with Harsha yet and therefore I'm a little partial to Charu. satyavega> Why do you say that the pitches in Australia are difficult when we are able to play well in England? roshni.chopra> The Aussie pitches are extremely hard and it's an acclimatisation problem. swapnesh> Have you felt physically attracted to your co-stars any time? roshni.chopra> No, I'm extremely professional. Signoff Message> It's been a pleasure talking to everyone. Please keep watching cricket and look out for my movie and have a great weekend. |
