What a joke this is!
Their drive home was quiet. After their hug it started to drizzle slightly, causing them to head back to the car. As they headed home it started to rain harder pounding against the car. Both of them were quiet, not knowing what to say to each other.

Leher opened the door to see Shaan and Khanak standing on the patio drenched from head to toe.
Wha... Kya? Leher asked confused of what to say.
Uhh, ander toh aane do, Shaan smiled.
Oh, sorry! Aao tum dono, Leher said as the two walked in. Leher looked at Khanak questionably, but Khanak shook her head.
Itni dair, kyun? Abeer asked Shaan.
Who, uhhh bearish itni tez thi. or bahut traffic bhi thi, so yea', Shaan said not answering truthfully.
Khanak looked at him, but decided not to say anything.
Everyone looked at Shaan and Khanak, something was going on, but neither one of them, wanted to say anything.
*After a while Preeti stood up* Khanak, you're all wet, why don't you go change? she said.
*Khanak nodded and headed upstairs*
Shaan, tu bhi upar jaa, bahut raat hogayi, Abeer said.
With that everyone headed upstairs, not saying a thing.

Shaan stepped into the shower, with a big sigh. He felt good, which was completely opposite of what he thought he would feel. He felt as if a huge burden had lifted off. He wasn't forgetting Natasha, in fact tonight, he made a deeper place for her in his heart. She was always going to be a part of him, but he needed to free himself of her, thinking that he was the reason for what happened to her. Khanak was right, it wasn't his fault. Shaan ran his fingers through his wet hair, feeling the hot water pound against his back. His shoulders were sore, he rested his hands against the wall, and rested savoring every moment.

Khanak walked out of the bathroom, drying her hair with a towel. Was she wrong to tell Shaan, everything she said? she thought. He never said anything afterwards, and neither did she. Was he upset at her?
She sat down, looking at her hands.
Khanak, teri or Shaan ke beech, kuch hua kya? Preeti asked walking into her room holding a cup of tea.
Khanak smiled at her, and knew that this was just what she needed. Preeti sat down next to her, and started to hear everything that Khanak said.
Shaan sat down on his bed, after dressing in his plaid pajamas and gray V-neck. He had this strange feeling inside him. He wanted to talk about the incident, or maybe he didn't, he thought. He grabbed his phone and looked at it for a moment. As he scrolled down his list of contacts, he found the one he wanted and pressed dial. It rang once, twice, he hung up. He wasn't ready, not yet.

Khanak woke up felling very sore. She woke up with a headache, and her arms felt numb. Last night she told Preeti, what had happened. Preeti told her that what she did was the perfect thing to do. Then why did it feel so weird? Shaan and her had just become friends, and she enjoyed his company, she didn't want anything to come between their relationship. She didn't know why, even though it had barely been a month since they met, she didn't want to be alone without him.
She pulled on her fluffy lavender robe and headed downstairs. Everyone had already had breakfast, and had gone to their daily activities. She made a pot of coffee and saw Shashank walk across the room.
Uhh, Shashank, did Shaan wake up yet? she asked.
Shaan? No, I think he's still sleeping, it's pretty late for him, he answered.
Ohh, thanks, she said as he nodded and walked away.
Khanak drank her coffee wondering what Shaan was doing. Was he still sleeping? Usually he's the first one up, she thought.
She looked out the window and thought if she should go upstairs to him. After pondering for a while she made a second cup of coffee and walked up the stairs to his room. She stood outside his door, and didn't know whether she should knock, or just go in, until she heard a deep voice mumble something.
Ps: Sorry for the really late and boring update guys. I was really busy these past couple of weeks with school, and I was feeling sick so yea...😒 Next couple of updates will be better :)

Hi Afiya!⭐️
This is Annie here!
I have been a silent reader of your FF: Shaadi Mubarak for a very long time and now I thought that it would be better to come out of the shadows and show myself to you!! So here I am!😆
I just love this concept of yours! You have 4 couples here, on whom you have to work and give convincing updates on each couple and their individual lives! I like that! 😃
You're doing a wonderful job and have amazing writing skills! Way to go, pal!👏
Another thing that I love is that even though Khanak and Shaan have their own separate problems, and one is engaged while the other has had a past, respectively, you are trying to build their relationship slowly and steadily! I must say that it is going really well now and don't worry about the pace, because it does take some time to bring yourself out from your dreadful past and become cheerful again (sometimes it takes a lifetime too)! 😊
Khanak is unknowingly becoming a great support to Shaan and even he is unknowingly grateful to her for that! An friend in need, is a friend indeed!😳 Both are acknowledging each other very much for their presence and support! Shaan found a confidante in her and I liked it!
He poured out his sadness and revealed his past to her in frustration, I guess, but it did help! And Khanak, who at first felt bad for his outburst, consoled him by hugging him and telling him that the incident was written and a game of fate and was not at all because of him.
And the silence that followed was actually necessary as each of them needed time to gather themselves up and list out the rest of the questions that were settled at the back of their minds for the time-being!
Good that Shaan is finally deciding to stop blaming himself and try and get out of it. Whom was he calling by the way? Natasha's father?😕
About the rest of the couples... You're doing a wonderful job and would love to see more of each of the couple, especially Arjun and Arohi! I really find their chemistry intriguing and full of sparks! Heheheh...😆 Though Preeti and Shashank are going through a sad phase, I would love to see Preeti speak up and not just stay silent. Abeer and Leher as usual are sweet and lovely! And when is the wedding day?😛
Regards
Annie😳
