Illogical or Practical or search for happiness

is it really so illogical? the self realisation- the proposal and the fight all in quick sequence?
or is it because indira is a practical girl? dont know- my attempts at understanding it.

Starting last week-
indira knew she has a soft corner for rishi- evry single person has commented about it from kutumb/munna/sunaina/ishaan/mandira and her mohallewaale plus jhumpa. but no one said anything good about it.

and here comes inder- who is someone she doesnt respect at all but he s also someone whose respect and approval she craves - any girl brought up as a daddy s girl will compare all the men in her life to him- for positive or negative stuff. inder has voiced out his support for rishi while the rest tried pushing her towards sameer. Inder said somethig which she had been ignoring herself.

she wanted the comfort of being with Rishi , the comfort of having someone without a word sharing responsibilities , the comfort of someone smiling with her , for her and waiting for her to smile, comfort of someone who s putting her concerns first, someone who s seeing beyond her hitler pan , someone who s appreciating her efforts in taking care of the family but is straight enough to tell on to her face when she s overdoing things or doing things which are wrong or behaving badly. And having received this kind of an attention, she wants it for life . in the society that she lives in it means marriage. Thats why the term- Mrs Rishikumar.

indira is a doer- not a dreamer. she is someone who always has a to do list mentally- this was also one of her -to do asap- tell rishi she feels for him - her concern as of tht day was not what will his answer be? what does he feel? no, it was about what she was feeling- bechain as rishi put it.

maybe she would have gone step by step - tell him/ask him then spaek about marriage but the situation /tensions with inder again in hospital- she bypassing all steps or shes jumping steps.

i for one didnt think of the last scene on friday or the precap as breakup. its a fight between couples...

indira has shown even in her stressed out overburdened mental state a clarity of thoughts though her actions seem a little hurried

what does a girl do once she has decided she s getting married? tell her parents or friends or siblings about it. who does indira have to tell? kutumb or mandira ? or the absent vidith?

but she listens to the first piece of advise from the elderly amma - about meeting the parents- again it is her to do list. next thing to do is meet parents to take aashirwaad for marriage.

she is so used to doing everything herself even with rishi around she still been taking decisions alone (though influenced by others) she doesnt think of rishi being consulted in this- he has agrred to her proposal, he has till now not taken the first step to do things so its again (in her mind) her job to do it. remind him she has to meet his parents.

the last bit of it- the lie that rishi says is so blatant that she stops - in her run and rush of doing things continuously- she stops for a moment to think and ask him who the hell is he ? she doesnt know him at all! and the father ditching them-munna not doing his duty comes back into effect- thats why -

if you ve thoughts of DUMPING me then forget it- im not getting dumped again im not going to be proved wrong again coz lets leave it now when nothings yet begun- forget me now.

and her conversation with vidith- abour the wrong guy- is the logical doubt - i know nothing about this guy, hes always avoided sharing his stuff though hes been there for me . in my desperate search for a life of my own, am i rushing into something with the wrong person?

and who else other than vidith can she verbalise it to? her fear that in her search for happiness, she s again going to lose., not just her happiness which is anyway non existent also her hopes for a happy life- peaceful normal one plus her trust her belief is going to be shattered again.

indira s been a mixture this week- alternating between being logical and practical to emotional to hasty but when she taught ishaan hopscotch, she was happy - atleast on her way to being happy. perhaps on her way to a smile

awesome...you just bereft me of words...i am wondering though after the so called "break up" would she and rishi become normal again? or will equations change? i somewhat feel things should not be normal...atleast even if it appears so..there should be an undercurrent...

i think he is not willing to break this relationship.

really a great and badly needed post..i agree with you..i have always said in my comments from the confession itself, that indira is not a girl who will keep on thinking only whether it's love or not and all like other girls..agar pyar hai toh hai..she is not afraid of that..ya she still needed support everywhere and in every act and indirectly she was given that support by amma, her father, and while realizing the love indirectly rishi..
