A source has told the Times of India that Shahrukh Khan and his wife Gauri have come to an understanding over rumors of his affair with Priyanka Chopra. Does this mean that she has forgiven him for the affair? Or has he managed to convince her that this affair nonsense is just that--nonsense?
The vague report makes it difficult to understand in particular Gauri and Shahrukh have worked out. Neither Gauri nor SRK have spoken publicly about the rumors, though Priyanka Chopra went on record to deny the affair and state that the rumors have left her feeling hurt and angry. Then again what else would she say? If the rumors are true, she's certainly not going to admit it to the national media.
The TOI praises Gauri Khan for maintaining a dignified exterior throughout what must be a difficult time for her. Is it really dignified when you angle to prevent your husband's co-star from attending events for her own film though? And while Shahrukh Khan hasn't really spoken about the rumors in public, he's certainly behaved in ways that seem to fan the flames, so to speak. Meeting with Priyanka Chopra at 3am in his office, flirting with her while they rehearsed for awards show hosting duties, and spending time deep in conversation with her at a party are not particularly discrete activities.
It's hard to believe stories like this from anonymous sources--is this latest rumor of a patch up between Shahrukh and Gauri Khan real or is she just trying to save face? Like the rest of the details of this story, the answer will probably never be clear.
