And so as the title suggests...This is a very humble attempt to capture the 'anant' character of Mahadev in to a post...Frankly that is impossible...
In his own words
"Mano Buddhi Ahankara Chitta Ninaham, Nacha Shrotra Jihve Na Cha Ghrana Netre"I am not mind, nor intellect, nor ego, nor the reflections of inner self (chitta).
I am not the five senses. I am beyond that!!!
But in here I am not going to put him as the Mahadeva...am just going to try to put him in the human form...a man who has been separated from his soul mate...and as the destiny would have it...she is born in the house of his biggest enemy...A man who is unwilling him to bind himself in the chains love...yet his love pulls him back ...A man who wants to stay away from his love, as he doesnot want to undergo the heartbreak again...A man who wants to save his soulmate from falling in love with him, yet at this moment, it is his love only which can save her...
The original lovestory...and HE is the original hero!!!😳
so we ishtart😛
Disclaimer...: I have a horrible sense of humour...which springs in at the weirdest point of time...Please dont take it as an offence to any of the character...😳😳
Oh you have to love him...Love him the moment he opens his eyes...rather even before that...when Sati is dancing across the corridors ...It is almost like every move she makes, is disturbing him, is pulling him towards her and he is so trying to ignore it...but as he told Narad...he CANNOT ignore her call...she is his other half...how can he remain ignorant when she is calling him...
(On a side note...that was one beautiful set ...the dance hall...the colour combination and the art works were fabulous...and you have to give it to Sati...she walked like a woman in love...all set and ready to take over the world if she has to, to bring her better half near her...and ofcourse,,,,Mouni is a wonderful dancer...graceful and beautiful...)
and the hankering you see for a second when Sati is calling him, falling on the floor and saying that he has to come...
The smoke so gives an ethereal feeling to him na...but it is so significantly used too...Smoke is just like Shiva na?? Weightless, formless, an all pervading and gone within seconds...
Who thought it was finally good to see Shiva without Trishula( I mean I love the Trishula...but it has its place...) Almost felt as if he had shed the fortress which he had built across his heart...as if he had shed that...and the way he actually takes in her fill first...as if telling her that finally her love has won...and his resolutions lost...
It was the dance of the two lost souls...who have found the other side of the puzzle...they fit so perfectly...it was not a dance for anyone...but themselves...two imperfect people finally finding the perfection...and together they take on the world...
But ofcourse it has to be Mahadev who has to see that Sati has now gone irreversibly deep ...into that Samadhi...he sees her ecstacy...and so decides to trace back his steps...but not before he takes the last fill of hers...dancing in oblivion...so sure of her love...unaware of her fate...it was such a wild gaze...something reflecting the inner core of the peaceful exterior of Shiva...
And his regret at this small lapse so apparrent...that when Narad went to him to discuss about the whole episode...Shivji actually gave a look like a rebellious school boy caught at a prank red handed...the defiance on his face was absolutely a treat to watch...it actually reflected his inner conflicts...and he finally admitted his weakness...he should not have gone there...but ofcourse it has to be Narad who points out and actually catches the words...and makes him realize...that he HAS a heart...
I love that part...where in he realizes that he has a heart...and by that...a right to live a life which will involve the heart...a right to be happy...be complete...however he may say that he is 'sampurna' but he knows that he is not...not without Shakti besides him...
So let us see how he gets his Shakti back with him😳
