Its sad the way the storyline is moving. If all Koki wanted for Ahem was someone to fold his clothes, cook his food and make his bed, she could have given him a personal bai rather than a wife. And unfortunately when the world is progressing forward and giving women equal rights as men, these silly serials are forcing the majority of the viewers ( mother in laws ) to have these insane expectations from their DIL's. TV should be a medium for progression of the masses...unfortunately Ekta kapoor and company are doing nothing but putting us back in the last century. Sad...very sad.

It is very sad. Why do mothers, aunts, sisters etc-female relatives in general are hell bent on going back to the past. All very well while they are in college or university it is sisters and doing it for themselves and then they change into stepford wives as soon as they settle down and have kids.

Is our TV industry that incompetent that we can't come up with a progressive entertaining series? Its just disgusting.

Agreed! :(

It was very sad and emotional to watch Gopi being so isolated at the same time of having her family around her!😭

I totally agree with you...during the episodes in the past week i have been wondering why did koki get ahem married at all??? its as if she was running short of a maid..and what happened to all that encouragement she gave to gopi to get ahem and gopi closer( decorating rooms, taking care, throwing birthday party etc etc)

Gopi is facing a really bad situation. The treatment meted out to her is unlawful and can be construed as a form of domestic violence as per the laws in India. While she is an epitome of goodness, it is cruel to expect a girl to live like that in real life. Everyone should have the right to live a life with dignity. I don't want any woman to suffer like her. Emotions apart, I think she needs to be rehabilitated.😡

My mother thinks that she is an ideal woman but I beg to differ. I agree that she is mentally very strong but I wish she uses that strength to move ahead in life rather than lamenting her fate.Ahem would still have appreciated her if she took charge of her own life. Marriage is sacred but both sides must maintain its sanctity. Mother in law can at best offer suggestions, she can't micro-manage her DIL's life

This serial is not by ekta kapoor, its by rashmi sharma😆
But I agree with you that these serials are pretty regressive. But that's how you gain TRP and earn more money. These kind of over the top fictional characters are able to touch the hearts of audience so it is bound to happen😊
