If its too much for their grey matter then hand us the reigns - I swear we'd do a better job

I reckon these bloody CVs have gotten too fat and too complacent - they need to buck up their ideas a bit I swear and stop messing up with the lead's fundamental character!!

Getting Dadi, Amma and K to say "we know you don't believe in prayers" doesn't fool us for a minute. CVs - you yourselves didn't know coz you bloody well forget your own story!!!!

Forgive me all here, coz I know comparisons arent allowed and to be honest, there is no comparison to our darling show and the love we have for its characters - but if CVs wanna know how to pull off a good story for its realism as well as impart a good social message, watch a few epis of the show on immediately after MKAP...I did yesterday and I was even more pissed off because that is how you do it...

I'll say it again - no complaints towards the actors - my vitriol is purely for those cardboard cutou,t stand-in excuses for CVs!

KK, agree with ur every word. We should be used to their tracks that start off beautifully, but go pear shaped just when u expect the climax, and u get sweet f.a.
i've just read someone's thread saying the cvs are changing their minds from day to day, and it sure looks like it as well.
I've already suggested u should go and show them how its done, i'll come with you if u like😆
agree with the show after mkap, trouble with mkap is, the cvs get confused as to who the lead couple are, and so rush crucial scenes that should have us on the edge of our seats.
About P being atheist - i'm comphujed, don't know what to make of it, its completely beyond me😕

Pratigya is not an atheist..If she was then she would not do puja or go to the temple, or keep fast or seek blessings from deities..

Probably they are thinking that whenever the TN have a havan, something always goes wrong..Will P tell the truth as she could not lie when the last baby haven took place?

and in this case she doesnt want to give hope to krishna for children...if puja was for krishna it wud hav made sense as problem is with him...

I completely agree with you. CV's are just making us getting confused.

hmmm...no P is not an atheist ...bec she do believe in GOD n had done pooja-prayers for K...i think she is behaving like this bec she is in turmoil n don't want K to know about the truth at any cost as he himself declared that he will go mad... n ofcourse , where we need medicine for our body, we need prayers for our mind...only in a healthy body a healthy mind can reside ... but some rituals r not nice n doesn't have a bearing to what we want to achieve... may be the CVs r hinting at it...

Hmmm...(clearing throat)

As I recall

She went with "Munna" to the Hanuman temple on a "date" when her dupatta had a mind of its own and blew on Baba's face.

She offered aarati to KN before heading out to Thana to meet Papa Shamu. She has sung bhajans with MMGJ choir at the hospital, with GD, Piasiya with SDS begrudgingly watching her (maybe sasuma SDS was tone deaf😛)

She loved doing rangoli on Diwali that SS and SDS messed up...they never did appreciate art unless it was "Munni badnaam huyi" or "Sheila ki jawani" cutting the rug that SS just couldn't resist.😛😕 tsk, tsk, tsk.

Prats does not believe in havans... that's for certain. Her history with havans at the Niwas have created chaos in her life. The "Naam nahi badalenge" havan set the tone for the ones to follow. The second "fake pregnancy" ended in Prats getting slapped and returning to MMGJ with Papa Shamu. The third one SS refused to let her join for arranging SDS's Thana visit😛and Krishna walked out with his biwi in tow. The havan at MMGJ for Dadi's pleasure (though unattended by Prats due to Takur veto) was interrupted by K's arriving with a stab wound and his nautanki (with a battered and bruised Angad in front of their home).😕

She may not believe in dogmas and rituals as such. On and off she flirts with the truth (by hiding, omitting the truth for her reasons she deems worthy of it) but she may be spiritually oriented.

Loved this post! I'm quite late in posting an answer, everything's been said already 😆... but even I thought of this question when I was going my "God vs. Science" topic.

I believe that Pratigya contradicts herself, or maybe the CVs like to play with her character a lot. In any case, I have never found her to be extra-religious, or even moderately so. She seems to pray only when it is absolutely necessary. She has all the information (she preaches others about Gods) but she is very rarely seen praying herself.
I concluded that Pratigya is actually very similar to many many ppl. Lots of us, we become religious only when we really need something. At that time, we pray from our hearts, the minute we get what we want, we say a small prayer of thanks, and then move on, remembering God next only when we need him. I think that may be the reason the whole Thakur clan keeps saying that Prats does not believe in all this, because usually they see her doing nothing.

That being said, I also think that somehow the CVs have mixed up being educated with being religious. It seems like you cannot be both at the same time, it works by an inverse relationship.

As a relative once said "don't bother God with your petty requests, he's busy dealing with bigger problems".😲

Most people confuse religious practices with spirituality. One can be spiritual and not be involved in an form of religious practices. Theology and spirituality are often discussed under one umbrella. Spirituality is all about the "inward journey" and can stand independently. Many people see divinity as mother nature, caring for another as they would themselves etc. without any religious ritual or dogma involved.

The younger Saxs seem to consider religious practices a task to humor Dadi.
Dadi believes in rituals and praying. Naina and Shamu were seen performing some pooja (Janmastami) but the third generation seem to believe it's not for the educated. Even Komal didn't want to participate in the havan Shamu did at his home the day K was stabbed by Angad.

Takurs believe in havans, mannatt and teerth yatras. They believe in Alfred Lord Tennyson's "More things are wrought by prayer than this word dreams of". Miracles do happen but ultimately one's belief plays a role in one's life as does destiny.

Some believe KARMA plays a big role on the way life plays out. If Takurs believed that would they be living the way they do?😲
