Hi Guys Im Bluefish...been watching this show for some time but hooked since teri meri sequence..amazing chemistry and moments in the story line.
Here is my analysis for the moment where Arnav takes the out the broken bangle piece that is hurting khushi with his mouth...on 2nd Feb...one of the most powerful, sensual, meaningful and priceless scenes I have seen on TV...
The whole scene has everything to do with the DIWALI sequence ..where passion overpowers them both...they come close...she trusts him..closes her eyes...he cups her face...and the dream shatters..only to be broken more by his bitter actions and words later.
Here again..the same things happen but opposite way...sort of "malham" , healing to the previous hurt he gave her on Diwali night. See, when he comes and shouts how much he was searching for her..cups her face..and tells her his fear that he could have lost her...she does not let her emotions over power...she questions his intentions and his interest in her...he ends up saying "farak padta hai dammit , kyonki" and about to say "pyar" but stops at "p".
Then at the broken bangle scene...he knows the reason why she is not trusting him this time even though he spoke aloud his fears...it was fear from the past ..of diwali night that was haunting her...and by constantly asking" why do u care "..she is taking away from him any rights on her.
Finally both play tug of war with her hand...her wounded hand represents the wound of her heart of that night...the broken bangle piece which is piercing her...is the pinprick that her heart has carried towards him since that Diwali night...the dil ka kanta.
Arnav knows whats causing her pain..the real one and emotional one.
He says " Khushi mujhe dekhne do" ..and she looks surprised..because he is telling her"
" let me look at the wound in your heart..let me take a look at your pain"..
She doesnt not want to give in..but does so at his insistence.
First je tries to clean roughly..his own anger overpowering him...but realizing her yelp and pain..he calms down instantly. his touch becomes...and feather light , soft , gentle. His whole attention is on healing her..emotionaly as well.
Here comes the most important part. He knows what hurt her on Diwali day..after coming so close to each other...he does not complete it, does not kiss her, his lips dont touch her..and he denies the whole thing later.
Here , he purposefully chooses to use his lips, not just because it will hurt her less that way..but also..the loop he let incomplete that Diwali night..that he completes her...his lips touch her skin...her wound..to heal her of both the pains.
She closes her eyes..partly anticipation, but mostly innate trust. See..by now, she has given him her wounded hand completely...bared her mental wound completely...closed her eyes and TRUSTED him...that he will not hurt her. She does not push him away when she sees he is about to use his lips..she does not pull her hand away...she just trusts. And he respects that...like anything.
His expressions, after pulling out the glass piece...gulping again and again while all eyes on her...he recognizes that she is vulnerable to him, she has not tried to protect herself..her innocent vulnerability, her innate trust in him is what is in his expression at that time.(Apart from the fact that the whole scene was incredibly sensual..)
And this time his kiss, to her wounded hand is also a kiss to her wounded soul from that night...the kiss which was incomplete is done now.
The broken bangle piece represents the prick of her heart which he had given her...even now , she purposefully tried to wear that small bangle which does not fit her..because he was irritating her about NK...He now has taken out the pinprick between them, the thorn between them..once and for all.
and then the "HO GAYA"
Here he completes what he started to say " Farak padta hai dammit, kyonki "p***** HO GAYA"
He admits...at least he admits to himself. And to her he says that her pain is over...the angst between is over...he is offering truce. Taking out the glass with his mouth is dangerous...the glass could have hurt him too...but he doesnt care. He will do whatever he has to do to ease her pain...
PYAR HO GAYA.
The piece of bangle is also represents NK, and his interference between them...also removed by Arnav...
NK will no longer be any sort of kabab men haddi.
And then..comes the desert...the icing on the cake...after gulping and admiring her innocence and vulnerability , comes the scene of utter protection for her..he longs to engulf her and console her...he takes out the bandage and keeps on rolling it against her wrist..over and over again...all the while eyes on her...he is saying
" I will protect you, you can show me your wounds..I will heal them and bandage them..protect you...and will not hurt you anymore...I want to be the person to take care of you."
At the end ..he gives a silent "All is alright..you and me are alright"."..
and she acknowledges it...she understands everything that he has said...the night of Diwali will no longer be a wall between them...the wound , that pain, has been lifted...the the couple has gone back to what they were before that.She looks at him , eyes full of awe..."can you be so gentle with me?"
And he looks and replies in affirmative...The anger has left them..pain has left them..fights have left them...heaviness in the heart is gone...
at least for now, its gone...!
