just penning my views on Gopi.
I have recently started watching the serial..probably aug onwards,,and have been reading the posts about gopi, her so called goodness, stupidity on the forum, just penning/ranting down my thoughts on Gopi.
Lot of people have said, that Gopi is good to the point of being stupid etc, is there anyone in real life who is so selfless, would anyone do that etc. Here are my views
For every human being the need to love and be loved is very basic, and Gopi has spend close to 20 or little more years with her mama mami etc. They were her only family in the whole world. She was not educated and she had probably never been worldly wise to have left the house and made her own world. For her that house and those people, however good or bad they were, were her only family. And she loved them selflessly. They were the only ones she knew and probably the need for love, made her love them inspite of they being out n out villians.
People say, that couldnt she make out tthat they were so bad etc..who knows in heart of heart she might be knowing they are bad, else why would she wish for a husband who loves her and a MIL who was like a mom. If she had found her mom in her mami, she wouldnt have wished for such a MIL. Hence she probbaly knew/knows how and what are the true colors of her mami/sister, but she still kept loving them hoping they would turn around.
I havent seen the bad phase or the sad phase in her life when her mami/sis abused/did the kalakaris. But has Gopi ever been shown to be talking to them open heartedly, the way she did with Ahem on the bday and the copy case- she opened her heart to him and told what she felt and how she was sad that she had caused so much grief to everyone. She has never spoken her heart to her mami/rashi- that shows that she doesn't love them as much or isnt so close to them. But still she cares for them. So there is a big difference in she wishing well for them and she knowing that they are good people.
And I think they are her family, so no matter how bad they are, she cant leave them, not sure how many daughters would leave her parents inspite of them being bad..finally blood is thicker than water and people do forgive a lot of things to their blood relatives, so Gopi can never wish bad for them. Finally all she wanted was love from her mami/mama etc..so no matter how much they do kalakaris, she would still lvoe them..and hope that maybe some day they would change.
Finally, I think its a serial and should be taken with a pinch of salt, just like there are very few husbands who would wash their wifey's hair, few veer/zara in real life..people like gopi are very few- fiction need to have some drama to make it exciting.
The other thing, people say, why would someone help others to the extent of causing harm to oneself..I think gradually a time comes in people's life where they dont see or think that if others are not doing their bit, why should I do, it is like, if everyone is dishonest, why should I be honest, one is honest because that is what one believes in.
So just because everyone is cunning, not necesaary that gopi also has to be. At times I think of the people in armed forces, why shoudl they sacrifice their lives for peopel they dont even know. The thing that drives them is their belief..they believe in serving the coutnnry so they do it, irrespective of who it benefits and the pain it causes to their families. The familes of the people in armed forces do lead an insecure life, but then the armed forces people still fight for the country because they believe in it, inspite of this resulting in their families leading an insecure life.
So gradually one does what one believes in, irrespective of its consequences, so Gopi helping others inspite of it putting Ahem through pain etc..i think she will be who she is and it cant change. And many a times, her family, not only husbad, but later kids may and will suffer because of it. But this cannot make gopi change..its her inner nature which can never change.
And all the goodness of Gopi, have given her two people in her life, ahem and koki. Who will always be there for her. So her goodness has given her what she wanted in life, irrepsective of the kalakaris that the kalakars have done and what have the kalakars got, nothing in return-their life is the same or maybe worse off. What goes around, finally does come around and Gopi's good nature will always hold her in good stead in long run, though the journey may be a little painful.
It is just a wonder that inspite of being with Gopi for so long, her goodness has not rubbed on the two villains,,
That is all..sorry for the long post !!!!

I see what you are trying to say about it being a show and to take it with a grain of salt. But what we want them to show is that evil is not the only winner. Goodness does prevail. And we all know that at the end of the serial goodness will prevail...but we want to see it take seed and see the results. We don't want to be shown on the last episode that all well that ends well. We already know that. I personally want the CV's to show how an uneducated and deprived woman can conquer the world of the rich with the help of her husband and MIL. That she too can make something of herself. If she is just given a chance. And up until a few weeks ago all was good. Then she goes and decides to help her useless sister and all hell breaks loose. She is wrong and taking the help of her husband was wrong and Ahem was wrong to help with eyes only on what Gopi wanted. We want to see goodness overflowing. Right now evil rules the whole show. There is no good message sent to the audience about how good deeds will bring good life. It is shown good deeds will make you unhappy and sad. And only if you do kalakaries will you prevail in this world. That is a wrong message sent. There is so much story they could have shown about Gopi being happily married and going thru the trials and tribulations of being a Modi bahu who cannot read or write. But no...the CV's had to go down the evil route...It has been explored now they need to show something different...Just my POV

What a wonderful post!😃

I agree with you, the innocence and the way Gopi has been socialised and brought up is all what has made her what she is today, the poor thing, all she wants is love and thats what she's lacking, not for long though hopefully!😳

nice point of view, thanks Dhabu for reading my long rant 😊 !
Maybe we have different way of looking at things, but I think she has already conquered or got what she needed, just that she doesnt know how much ahem loves her..but he does.
Good deeds make you sad ..not sure, but yes pain at times..and I think they are difficult path to follow, and give happiness after a long journey, if good deeds always make you happy and make life easy, then everyone would do it...any virtuous thing doesn't give right results immediately, which make it difficult for everyone to do and that is why people admire it in others.
I would say, be patient, good will win !!
Infact on another note, i would like for some kalakari to happen now, especially when Ahem trusts her, and if Rashi and Co do something now, he may not be able to know the culprit but he should support Gopi..that would be his another test..
Kalakaris dont prevail..not in real and not in serial also for a long

I totally agree with what you say. They always show that the kalakaris are are succeeding instead of them backfiring and resulting in good for the good guys.
