i think it takes two to tango, if a mil is bad, the son/husband should know where to draw the line..like ironing clothes is ok,. but gradually if she says leave your wife..then the husband has to put the foot down..

One has to always know what is meant by respecting ones elders and supporting or not voicing something which is blatantly wrong.

So yes MIL like koki do exist or there are worse, but then what is the husband doing.

Exactly!!!!!!! Why can't they realize that a girl leaves her parents and her support system to come to a new house to make relations work just based on the one basis hat her husband will love and support her .is it really so difficult to understand?

yes MIL's like koki do exist but i don think ahem is real. i mean comeon... a hot shot business man who manages an entire company wud stop going 2 office coz his mother said so and to top it all, he considers ironing clothes as a prayaschith 4 his bhool. yuck.

My mom is the best, mom in the world, coz my SIL has to come to my mom house everyday.. When she had my second nephew She came and live with my parents for 6 weeks and after the baby was born she came from the hospital and stayed for 2 weeks and left called my mom and asked if she could come back and she stayed for 3 months... My 2 nephews always tell their mummy that Amma is the best cook in the world ... and MY SIL never get mad...

My cousin wives also love my mom...
