Yep its yet another rant...

And don't get me wrong I luv a man who irons...steam Irons strong man don't get me started and

I really like Koki Modi (I know I have said this many times b4)

I also like the fact that Ahem did not retaliate cos he loves mom and understands her...

Koki has good reason to be mad , her hurt justifiable and finally her mistrust of Raashi is valid.

I think also the whole ahem gopi get Raji 2gether was wrong short sighted and childish...for Gopi it holds to charactor but Ahem...

But and this is the big But...

Her actions cannot be vindicated...let me explain...

What they are showing is abuse...emotional black mail knowing she is her sons weakness she takes advantage of it and then kicks him hard...(= to a hit in the googlies)

2nd in a house hold like Modis where work is pretty segregated ie. Woman's /man's asking hime to iron is pretty demeaning ...breaking him down so he will always toe the line...as good as calling him names...Ahem in the early days was scary in his treatment of Gopi and not the just the name calling it was the demeaning manner with which he treated her...

Abusive behaviour cannot be condoned...social message of this serial is questionable in my opinion I do hope they show that this is not right and Koki overcomes this behaviour through self realisation and grieves for what she has put her young ones through...

I hope they don't gloss over it by saying she was teaching him a lesson...he is an adult and he should learn those lessons himself...

This serial shows serious accounts of abuse mainly toward Gopi but that is a whole diff thread...

I do hope they make it right... as abuse is very prevalent and when shown in a series foll by many and not addressed properly i think is it is a serious breach of responsibily.

Thank you for turning on the light... I never though of it thaat way you post. Yes if ahem was a child then you need to teach him a lesson , but he is not... And I know how anger koki ws ... rashi and her mother almost sent koki to jail , and koki really did not do anything.
How is it the U&R get away with everything ... and nobody else can... please explain.?????????????

👏 Well said.. Emotional blackmailing and abuse is to be condoned as much as physical abuse. I am reminded of the dialogue in Taare Zameen Par where Aamir explains to the child's dad how the tribal fell trees. He tells him how the entire clan will stand around the tree to shout abuse. Aamir explains that the tree falls and never grows back. It is the same with humans.
The scars of emotional abuse stay for a long time and sometimes forever... The CVs need to take note and not do this anymore just to add the emotional quotient to the drama..

That is because the CVs are really stupid and have no wish to tie up the loose ends..🤢.. Justice delayed is justice denied.. What is the use of Rashi repenting when she is sixty and has done all the necessary damage, I do not know.. But really there is no limit to what the CVs show..

I'd be worried more if people claimed to have learned something from this show. I know I whine and complain about it, but I know that it's reel and not real. In reality, our focus is very different. For example, no one will yell at me if I burn dry noodles into a crisp in the microwave after I thought I had added water to it (totally did that!! lol). In the MM, Koki would have an apocalyptic fit and I'd probably be forced to eat noodles for the rest of the week (Maggie is awesome btw and I wouldn't mind).

The highlight of my rant is: only absorb what can be constructively applied into your life and nothing more.

So true.. But for young minds, it is not really nice to show that you can enjoy 10 lakhs of stolen money and not get caught for a long time... That is really not a social message.. 😕

You came up with right word Harini emotional qutient to rev up trps...but they need to be mindfull that like it or not this is also the moral compass for a large no of people...and they pride themselves with the social issue ...ie adult lit etc but abuse is a much larger much deeper and often unrecognised problem when it is not packaged in the normal forms...I'm sure many can identify and cos Koki is so popular and known to righteous I hope they dont vindicate this behaviour of hers...

Maggie noodles was a life saver in college..I lived off that stuff...and honey burning it is difficult but...you seem to be a champ cirtainly not Koki Modi Vahu material😆 besides what r the chances that they would allow that stuff in MM...
Rach youll be surprised at the no of people who do buy into all of the stuff on TV esp this show is no one in trp to the poin that people think the actors are the charactors they play...so underlying messages need to come with responsibility...esp when it is matter as delicate as abusive which is normally swept under the carpet and the victim too broken down to fight back...

Exactly.. But I doubt the CVs even think that way. If they did, I wonder why they have not shown anything to vindicate themselves from all the abuse Gopi used to receive before. Every time Gopi cried be it due to Ahem, Rashi, Koki or Urmi we cried along with her. So they guessed that now we will be there doing the same for Gopi and Ahem now. They would have just come up with a scenario that would make us go through an emotional turmoil.. .. I guess one way is to complain to the broadcasting corporation and I am not sure how much that would help.
