Instead of relying on these stupid sub-plots, they need to create drama through some interesting tracks. Why would we want to see a repeated track where another person comes to start a competition between the two bahus and test who is better?
I would say bring Anita back in town. Since Aham is just doing house work, he should run into her while he is shopping for vegetables. He should also start talking to her on the phone while he is at home and go out for lunches with her since he feels bad due to his past behavior (Gopi's influence).
Koki should find out and realize that Aham has too much time on his hands at home and send him back to work, but Aham resists since he likes being at home (OK, that was a joke😛).
But it will be interesting to see Koki trying to keep Aham away from Anita.
