Sudama tells Susheela that he can't eat anything from this day on except that which he has obtained from begging. He then gets up & leaves. Susheela follows him to the other room and asks him what's wrong - unlike previously, when he was always enthusiastic about meeting Krishna, this time, he didn't say a word about him.

Sudama breaks down and tells her that he's discovered that he's not a true bhakt of Krishna 😲 Susheela is shocked to hear that, and Sudama describes to her that he's found out that he's only been living off the charity of Krishna, instead of dedicating himself selflessly to his devotion. He tells her that from this day, he won't live on anything he got from Krishna.

Susheela tells him that she agrees w/ him, and therefore, they will all abandon this house and all its riches, and live like they did b4. Sudama is shocked to hear that, and urges her to reconsider, but Susheela points out that as his wife, her role is to be @ his side, wherever that is. Sudama then suggests that their kids must be used to all these luxuries by now, and it would be hard on them to deprive them of all this.

Jambavati & Krishna are both shocked to see this, and Jambavati is hurt @ Susheela suggesting that they give up the gifts that Krishna has given them. Krishna tells them that just like no parent turns away from his children, similarly the god doesn't turn away from his devotees.

Krishna now spawns a new clone in a new disguise - a mustachioed vendor of jeelebi/rabri, who is near Sudama's house calling for anyone who wants rabri/jeelebi. Mohan, as expected, goes there and Krishna (did Krishna have another name as a rabri/jeelebi vendor that can be used as a substitute for Murli Manohar? 😆 No name was given this time) shows him the jeelebi/rabri. Mohan goes in and tells his parents about it, and Susheela gives him a coin. Mohan takes it out and gives it to the vendor, who pours some rabri on the jeelebi and gives it to him. Mohan loves it, and tells Krishna that he should come there every day 😆 Sudama & Susheela are looking out of the window, and Krishna offers some to them as well.

Sudama politely declines, and Krishna tells him that his hunger must have been satisfied by the look of satisfaction on Mohan's face. Sudama smiles, and Krishna tells himself that no matter how much Sudama wants to, he'll never be able to leave this house 👏

Later, Sudama & Susheela are continuing their conversation, and Sudama suggests that this home & all its luxuries belong to his family, and begs Susheela to stay w/ them & look after them, but to let him leave. Just then, the kids come in, and all of them beg Sudama not to leave them. Sudama tells them that if they come w/ him, they'd have to give up this home & new clothes, and his kids all give him mini bhashans about how they're all worthless if he's not around w/ them. Both Sudama & Susheela are moved, and Sudama and his kids have a group hug 🤗

Sagar Pictures deserves a Lifetime Achievement Award in the Emmys for taking a very interesting story like Krishna, and morphing it into a singularly boring serial. If I didn't have update duties today, I'd have just left it and either watched DkDM, or not watched @ all.

Susheela deciding to leave the house was the logical corollary to what Sudama had decided - not accept anything he had gotten to date from Krishna. But Sudama used to credit even the smallest thing that he got from begging to Krishna, so will that simply not be true anymore? B'cos if it is, then how does it make more sense for him to pretend that one thing is given by Krishna & the other ain't? And if it's not, then he's simply going from being a Krishna bhakt to a nastik.

So Sudama can't see through Krishna's disguise simply b'cos he wore a mustache? Like Varaali once mentioned, the snacks that they offer in the Dwapar Yuga looks suspiciously modern - jeelebi & rabri? Why not have Krishna sell papri chat or dalpuris? But one thing about this new disguise - I'm glad that Murli Manohar has not surfaced this time - that flute makes me jaded!

More seriously, if a god blesses someone w/ something, and that person later on repudiates it or returns it, it's normally considered an insult. Didn't that occur either to that great genius Udhav or that great gyani Sudama? Looks like Rishi Sandipan had some really mediocre shishya's after all, if one goes just by this story.

At the end of this track, I just wish Krishna would move them all to Dwarka, since there's no Balarama, Vasudev, Rukmini, Satyabhama et al there anymore. Incidentally, today, where did Udhav disappear? Or is his track over as well?

Anyway, don't expect this to get better, since it's currently #3 on Imagine's line-up.

Exactly! You are so right!

This track is really very artificial because how come that such a great devotee like Sudama suddenly wants to be independent from Krishn ?
Sudama had always known very well that nothing belongs to us, everything belongs to Krishna Who is the Soul of our soul, our bodies are given to us by Krishn, everything and anything belongs to Him. So as Coolpratz says even our life belongs to Krishn what to say of any food given by Krishn directly or received through begging?

It is not Sudama who got confused here but someone from SP who is definitely over-creative.
They may use some creativity as far as some events or persons are concerned but they should NEVER distort philosophical concepts from Vedic Scriptures and present such a nonsense as Sudama wanting to be independent from Krishna.
Not one Jiva soul can ever be independent and Sudama knew it very well so how could he suddenly get such a mental confusion so it seems that his intellect does not work any more?
Very very unconvincing ...

^^^ If they can distort the actual storyline & messages, why are you surprised or disappointed that they're now distorting philosophical concepts?

Nothing more to add as I completely agree with all the comments above ⭐️. In fact, reading them is more interesting now, rather than watching the show itself 😕. I am not finding any motivation to continue with the show 👎🏼. Don't know how to react to this 'weird storyline' which, I feel, is going from bad to worse day by day 😔...

Coming to the ep- I just LOVED all the children 🤗, specially how thay talked SLOWLY with Sudama, at the end of the ep.!!!! Very Cute!!!!! 🤗

I too miss Balram- Revathy and all in Dwarka... Guess, SP has completely forgotten about them 😔

Actually the jalebi / rabri scene was the only one we (my kids and myself) really enjoyed. It was too yummilicious for them and the curd rice (which I was feeding them) paled in comparison. My younger one made a few pertinent observations-

1) If Krishna himself was selling jalebis and rabris, does it still constitute as 'junk food'?
2)The 'fat boy' ate three whole jalebis all by himself, and his mother didn't say anything.
3)I too should should get jalebis for them today. 😆

On a more serious note, could brahmins (in those days) eat just about anything from anyone? I think not. Moreover why aren't Sudama's kids not in any gurukul?
