Hello all,
Overall, the episode was nice, but what stole the show, for me, was the ManVeer scene.
It was so beautifully shown & Uday's face was filled with warmth. Anyone who didn't see the scenes before that would not believe how 'evil' or nasty Uday was being when he told the inspector to frame Akash in a case of murder, or even when he told Unnati that Manyata was just faking the whole sick act.

Uday may be greedy for the throne, or may even be manipulative, but his concern for Manyata is genuine. He has always locked up his feelings infront of others; when J guessed that he was in love, he denied saying it was part of the game, when Unnati told him she was sick, he denied saying it was all an act, even though his face dropped. But infront of unconscious Manyata, today Uday was himself. He wasn't a prince or a son. He was a man, who had fallen in love, he was a HUMAN who felt & not the cold prince, he shows himself to be. He let his emotions out as he caressed her face & told her that her 'halkat veda' had come. This was, in my opinion, the most genuine ManVeer scene till date. Uday may play all the games he wants, he may fight with her, whatever, but he has always cared for Manyata. There was never a pretense be it when he reprimanded the servants many episodes ago for not taking good care of Manyata infront of DS & Komal, or even when he scolded the press for pointing a finger at Manyata's character.
To all those who constantly ask us why ManVeer, or even question Uday's intentions, this scene clearly pointed out why it just has to be ManVeer. Like what DS pointed out, he can be strict/firm when it comes back to making decisions, but he can be equally warm & forgiving at the same time. Uday, in my opinion, is not only a good king, but he is a good person as well, despite all the wrongs he has done, or even all the flaws he might have.

There was a short poem I wrote for Arnav-Khushi from IPKKND a long long time back, but somehow, i felt a short verse of it might be apt for ManVeer too.

"Marbles"

You looked at me with those small eyes,
a pity our eyes never once met.
You heard me with those small ears,
a pity our voice boxes would stall as we didn't know one another at all.
I always felt as though you glanced at me,
I always felt you liked to hear me or have my company,
I always imagined that you were intrigued by my insanity
But never would you be mine,..

That glimpse i have of you will be mine
That smile that made my heart captive will be mine,
The shadow of imagination you casted upon my mind will be mine.
But those marbles will never ever be mine

Those marbles are hard,
Those marbles are gold,
Those marbles are stone that never seem to grow old.

P.S How many people thought that Abhishek's acting in the jail scene, today, was quite bad? At least, I did.

Cheers,
Samridhi

Udayveer appalled me today...this man never fails to surprise me...where is the Machiavellian fox that is supposed to and is even justified to channelize inside him with all the rational authoritarian right to take over a lovelorn body encompassed around an alive heart burning and churning at the same time...where is his pent up aggression when he looks at a sick manyaata?!?! grr.nobody deserves UV in DEK.PERIOD!He makes you heart broken when he proves to you that initial flawed , grey corner-stoned men can be the most passionate companions among social animals...A typical Tragic hero characteristic...which makes our blooming selves mold into his rise of a sacrificial companion in love... these lines are beginning to make sense for UV now...it is a song called "white flag",
by dido...:
I'll drown into the seas of love within this ship ,
And I won't put my hands up and surrender ,
there will be no white flag above my door,
I'm in love , and always will be...

I feel like crying for empathizing UV's destiny now...*sigh*

UV can get bitter really bitter with M for the betrayal she did to him but when he sees her lying unconscious not fighting to him calling him names he finds himself empty within. No matter how much he tries how matter how angry betrayed he feels about how Manyata fooled him the bond he has with Manyata has been there and it will always be.

Excellent post Samridhi.

Red: I wanted to say the exact same thing
Blue: I agree 100%
Purple: Brilliant point...This is the answer to why ManVeer and no Amonia.(MonAsh, whatever!!)

Green: No comments...But you know my answer, right?😆

One thing I'd like to add is that: Uday may say a lot of things to a lot of people in order to let them think thta he is not in love with Manyata, but the fact is he himself has accepted to himself that he is deeply in love with Manyata. He acknowledges the fact that he has been waiting for Manyata all these years. Though, he might have had 50-60 girlfriends, but he knew in his heart that he belonged to Manyata and vice-versa.

His statement implied that:

"Akhir Manyata aur hamara rishta 16 saal poorana hai...Itni aasani se tootne nahin denge!"

And I agree with you 110% that this was the most genuine and best ManVeer scene ever, at least in my opinion (and yours, of course)

Thanks for the post. I loved it.

Best Wishes,
Aditee.

i agree cutest scene ever how much uday is caring about m she cannot understand if akaash is there.i think a perfect person for m who even had an evil side but inside in his heart he cares for her a lot.from his childhood to till now😊
he denied saying it was all an act, even though his face dropped.
agreed he always hide his feelings due to his egoistic nature
or even when he scolded the press for pointing a finger at Manyata's character.

akhir ko "raaj" family ha apne izzat una bohat pyare ha😆
Uday, in my opinion, is not only a good king, but he is a good person as well, despite all the wrongs he has done, or even all the flaws he might have.

agree

uday's bond with manyata is much stronger than he himself thinks he just can't c M in pain ...inside prince udaybeer there is a boy lives who is still waiting for that her best childhood friend whom he lost 16 years back...who he adored dearly...
how much betray M gives to uday but inside uday that boy still lives whom cried with M when he hurt her with plastic sword unintentially...
he cares for M since than.
one could c that even when unnati told him that M is ill he couldn't take another sip from coffee from his mug & just turned his face from his sis so she couldn't c that emotions which had taken place..in his heart & eyes ..he was saying words whicha prince royal blood was saying but his eyes were something else saying...
which made him ran to mahal to c M...

I agree. Like i constantly say, Manyata is bringing out the HUMAN in Uday. All his feelings that were locked away, are coming to surface. And he's just going to fall deeper & deeper. There is no more stepping back.

Ditto. I seriously wished he would kiss her & then she would awake from her sleep.. But you never know, he might kiss her on her forehead in the next episode, afterall the scene just shifted to J & Vijay, so maybe it may continue tomorrow :)
But seriously, Manyata is just going to break his heart with her Akash-jaap once she awakes :(
