Hi guys
So I am very new to this forum and this is the first time that I am posting a thread here -
I have been thinking lately with all the using of the body doubles in a show like IPKKND the channel and the actors run the risk of losing audience, especially the audience (mostly femaile) who waits like 24 hours to watch Barun Sobti play ASR on screen. Also the USP of the show is the unbeatable chemistry of the leads - I think the last couple onscreen to have such chemistry was Milind and Prachi in Kayamath (though that was probably the most far fetched of the EK serials)
Also bad editing (ME door scene, Kiss epiode - the mehendi kept on going on and off) is what really stops Indian shows from becoming a massive success.
As I live in the UK, I know a few people who watch both Indian TV programs and also the American dramas (like Suits, SATC, the Vampire Diaries etc) with a passion - as we all lead extremely stressful lives, we need to be able to watch TV without overthinking it. And if we compare the two sadly Indian TV falls short in expectations. Don't get me wrong, i used to watch IPKKND even when there was nothing in it to be watched.
I would be very interested to know your thoiughts, really is it that difficult to maintain continuity and for actors to be committed not only to their show but also their audience. I mean if an actior is absent, make it a plausible absence.
I know these guys have to shoot round the clock, however they get a lot out of it as well - like fame, etc.
These are my views and hopefully IPKKND will stop using body doubles and our beloved ASR will return in top form soon.

I agree with you. the use of body doubles the mistakes in editing ruin the show for me because I am focusing more on that than the actual show
Barun and sanaya are doing an awesome job. Don't know what the issue is, maybe he is keeping unwell or has some time off, but the director needs to handle it a little better. it was so obvious that arnav's scenes had been shot before and edited in.

But I still absoultely looove this show. Hope star plus doesn't short change it.

I agree with you on the issue of using BD but it has happened only in ME and yesterday s episode ... Barun is very dedicated to his work we all know that so him missing in 2 episodes in crucial scenes shows that he must have had some problem to be unavailable.

I'm not against actors having time off - I think the directors or the CVs should have a better way to deal with their absence.
