Friday Jan.27 Reserved!!! πŸ˜ƒ

Scene 1: It begins with Meenu waiting for Saro, sitting on a bench. Right on time our hero enters, saying "hi". Both in semma good mood and Saro comes and sits beside Meenu. Meenu speaks first and asks "what?" Saro replies by saying "nothing". Meenu says it's obvious you're smiling inside and Saro asks "really?" Meenu says "whenever you want to smile, I can see it in your eyes" (aww😳). Saro smiles, and Meenu asks if it is a "victory smile". Saro asks where is the victory in this, to which Meenu replies "as you wished, you got me [Meens] to come to the cinema". Saro asks, "yendi...naana solla vachain? You took pity and asked to go along. What is there to win in this? But wait, why did you agree?" (intha question romba important...ippa than Meens said yes, why do you want to give her a reason to change her mind?πŸ˜›). Meens says, "What can I do...you looked a disappointed child when you left yesterday, and I felt bad for you. That's why I agreed" (πŸ˜‰aam, aama, naanga nambittum). Saro then says, "Hey Meenakshi, if you're really not comfortable then let's not go and it's not that necessary to go.

Meens super shocked, and says "Hey...who do you think I am, Avaiar? (Why are you dragging her into your mess...paavam, pollachu pogatumπŸ˜†) I think the same things as you, but I just want our love to stay gunium" (sorry, I don't know the appropriate English translation). But Saro insists that if she feels like this wrong, then she doesn't have to do it. Meens immediately, "It's okay. Compared to what other people are doing...you are only asking me out to a movie". Saro smiles, but Meenu continues on saying, "I want to hold your hand, and during nice love scenes, turn and look at your face". Saro super, super shocked. Meenu continues saying, "And during sad scenes, I want to lean on your shoulder and cry, while watching the film". Saro praises god for lighting a lamp in his life and promises to make appams for Amman in the month Adhi. Meens is just giggling. After some gentle flirting, they are start selecting the film they want to see. Saro want to watch 'Gang Leader' (super choice Saro, not for Meenu...but her brother ). Meenu just replies "dai". Saro gets the message and says, "Don't want it, huh?"

Meenu points out that this is the first film they are going to watch together and asks Saro to choose a film which is sentimental...something they can both remember. Saro thinks hard before naming a devotional film. Meenu not impressed. She says, "You don't need to think as that level good guy". Saro then says, "Do you want to watch 'Bad Teacher' then?" Meenu says "there is no need to think at this low level either (πŸ˜†). Saro says that movie is a good English film, but his face says otherwise. Meenu replies by saying, "Dai, I am a good teacher...and for me, your taking me to see bad teacher? (LMAO🀣)" Saro says a couple more choices (actions, adventure...Tintin), but Meenu keeps rejecting everything...until Saro says "Naanban polama?" Meenu's face lights up and agrees immediately. Saro says "perfect!" and then asks Meenu why she agreed (yean paa intha vivakaramana questions?πŸ˜•).

Meenu replies that may it be lovers or husband & wife; they always have to stay friends. She also says, "That you're my good friend and I'm your good friend. Plus, sentimentally this movie is okay". Saro snaps his fingers and says, "Done. We are definitely going!" Meenu asks, "Are you okay with this film?" Saro replies, "Definitely! Because there is a song called 'Olli Belly' and that the actress in that song is super...just for her at least, I can watch the movie". Meenu angrily asks, "With me beside you, you will look at that actress's hip...will you?" Saro acts all innocent, and asks "What else can I do? You were the one..." Meenu cuts him off, saying "Stop, stop. I know what you are going to say. You can go look at that actress's hips"πŸ˜†. She also asks if he has already seen the film. Saro replies, "No Meenakshi...only the trailer. I can't seem to get tickets". Meenu asks "Will we get tickets?" Saro says no matter what, I'll get us tickets. Meenu is in a jolly mood, and says "So, we are going to see Naanban?" Saro replies, "Yes. We are going to see it".

Once again Meenu asks if he saw the movie already, but Saro says he didn't go watch the movie even when his co-workers asked him to come with them. Meenu all sentimentally says since this is the first movie they are going to see, they should see the movie too, for the first time. Saro says the movie's name itself is very sentimental and asks Meenu again if the movies is okay for her (same question on repeat...please change the subject guys! πŸ₯±). Meenu says, "Double okay! I really like Vijay and Jeeva. Plus if it's a Shanker movie, she likes it even more. And now, since I am going with you [Saro], there is no better movie to see then this one". Saro says "Oaky then, I will see you late Meenakshi". Meenu asks why he is leaving so soon. Saro says that since this is the first time they are going to the movies together, he needs to get ready (i.e. taking a shave, get facial, changing clothes etc). Meenu just giggles. Saro asks, "Why are you laughing?" Meenu says you are preparing as though you are going to your engagement (hopefully this event will turn out happier 😊).

Saro replies by saying, "Hey Meenakshi! For the first time in Indian television, Saravanan and Meenakchi are going to a movie! Do you know how groundbreaking this is? πŸ˜†" Meenu asks what show are we going to and Saro says we need an Iyar to decide that, seeing as they need to go to a movie at an auspicious time on an auspicious day🀣. Meenu says she also needs time to get ready and that she'll wear a brand new sari for this event (aww!!! 😳). Both are super happy and smiling at each other. Meenu says that in her village, newlyweds usually go to the cinema together and the whole village will watch them. Saro says, that scene is after marriage...for now, we are on the kaadhalin-kaadhalli going to the cinema alone scene. Meenu giggles again, and Saro again asks why she is giggling. Meenu says Saro is a very different person. Saro asks how he is different. Meenu says you have so many small desires. Saro replies, that these are not small desires but rather wishes. He continues on, saying "Everything we did together 'First' (like first auto travel, visiting temple, eating together etc) is all very special to me" (soo sweet!!! 😳).

Meenu asks, "Saravana, will you always be like this?" Saro asks, "Where is the doubt in that?" Meenus says, "You are not doing this to trick me are you?" Saro asks, "Does this seem like that?" Meenu quickly says, "No, but what if you change after marriage like all other men?" Saro replies, saying "Hey Kalladakuruchi angel...people say that as love goes on it decreases, but for me it only increases. Kollradi! πŸ˜ƒ I want you keep doing this to me for my whole life, that in my wish (aww!!!)". Meenu turns her face, saying she is getting teary (for all her strong fronts, our Meens is super emotional 😊). Saro says, "Hey, don't my rasathi! My golden eye, my paatu kudi! Don't cry! Do you want me to do the 'Olli Belly' dance?πŸ˜†" He then does it, causing Meenu and him to laugh. Romantic bgm playing and close up shots follow ❀️.

Scene 2: Saro riding his bike in and stopping. He went home. He is talking to his parents. His mom called him urgently from work. Saro asking what is the matter, but his mom not answering. Instead she asks her husband (the one and only, Mr.Rajashekar πŸ˜†) to pleat her sari, which he obediently does. She says she will tell him soon, but Saro is impatient and he asks his dad. His dad says, "I don't have the authority to reveal those things (LMAO!!! πŸ˜† Very, very true!!!). If your mom says go, I say 'Yes Madam' and if your mom says come, I say 'Yes Madam' also" πŸ˜†. Saro says stop the over acting and tell me, but his dad says he genuinely doesn't know what is going on. Right then, Saro's sister also enters and asks her mom if whether she is ready or not. Saro once again repeats the same question, "Where are we going?" His sister throws something at him, while saying "One should not ask that, when they are heading outside".

Saro argues with his sister for a while, demanding to know where they are all going. Saro is suspicious that they might be going to another 'bride seeing ceremony'. His mom replies, "Paatha onnu'ikai naaga paadatha paadu, padurum...ithula inn onnu vera! πŸ˜ƒ (thank you, thank you!)". Saro says that he is suspicious, to which his mom replies "Yes, we are looking for a bride...not for you, but your dad" πŸ˜†. Saro's dad praises his wife, but his daughter clams him up and tells Saro to hurry up and get ready. Saro is not budging from his seat, and his mom & sister are exasperated. Saro's mom asks Saro to trust her, and Saro says "No way!" Saro's mom appeals to her husband and he finally convinces Saro to get ready. Mom and sister walk away. Saro asks his dad to tell him the truth. His dad says honestly I don't know, but all of this family outing business started after your mom started being sad, watching 'Annanda Kuyil Paatu' song from 'Kadhalikku Mariyadhai'. Saro says, still we have to be alert. At that moment the car arrives in front of their house and Saro's mom and sister leave telling both Saro and Saro's dad to follow. Saro stops his dad, and asks are you going to follow them [his sister & mom]. Saro's dad replies, we will know the truth in about 5 minutes...might as well deal with it then and ushers his son out (what a policy, what a policy?).

The family stops outside a theater. His mom drops a bombshell on Saro. They have come as a family to watch Naanban 😲. At first Saro is happy before realization hits him and he has the opposite reaction. His dad asks him why he is giving off 2 different reactions. Saro tries to saamalichufy, by saying that it's impossible to get tickets. Saro's mom pulls out the tickets, while saying "who do you think I am?" Saro says buying black tickets are illegal and yells, "Police, police!" πŸ˜† His mom says these tickets aren't illegal and give him a long list of people who she got the tickets from. Saro's dad super excited for the 'Olli Belly' song, to which his wife replies, "You told me you liked Srikanth! 🀣" Saro's dad quickly covers up his mistake. Saro though, is unhappy but his family convinces him otherwise. Saro adamantly saying he doesn't want to see the film using all kinds of weird excuses (i.e. someone from his workplace might see him, it is Amavasai etc), and tries to get out of there (you have to come with better reasons for ditching your family Saro!).

Scene 3: His mom appeals to his dad, and Saro's dad takes her side as well (Why sir? Saro's problem puriyama, taking your wife's side...). He reminds Saro that his mom is a heart patient and that the shock of not seeing this film might have long term repercussions. Saro asks his dad why he [Saro's dad] is encouraging Saro's mom's behaviour. In addition to that, Saro's mom also starts letting out 'Paasa Malar' dialogues to sway her son πŸ˜†. Saro isn't happy, and tell his mom that if he says he can't come, he can't come. Saro's sister emotional guilt trips him and his dad also bugs Saro as well. Saro hisses (to his dad) that, he [Saro's dad] is not helping the situation. Saro's mom further asks Saro's dad, when was the last time Saro came to the theatre with them...to which Saro's dad answers 10th class. Saro's mom says she wants to watch the movie and she and Saro's dad grab onto Saro. Saro pleads to his sister for help, but she replies "That Vijay and Jeeva are her 2 eyes". They forcefully drag Saro inπŸ˜•.

Sitting in his seat, all Saro is thinking about is his promise to MeenuπŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜•. Saro's dad tries to talk to Saro and asks him to stop being stressed out. Saro's dad talks about his childhood and how where he grew up there was only on theatre with curtains that would come up automatically. Saro is trying to ignore himπŸ˜†, and Saro's mom butts in, telling her husband to stop boring Saro with his flashbacks (LMAO!!! 🀣 Saro's mom has very good dialogues today...extremely funny to watch). Saro's mom is so excited about seeing the movie. His sister asks him to buy snacks, but Saro refuses to move. Eventually movie starts playing and Saro starts praying. Saro's mom notices, and says "Don't worry Saravana, the movie is super" (that is the least of Saro's worries for now). Saro is in a very bad mood, but his family is super excited. At last, the movie begins...with lots of whistles and claps. Saro closes his eyes and just looks down, all the while thinking about Meenu .
