I loved today's (and yesterday's😳) episode, and I really felt like Khushi's dupatta, was in many ways, the star! I decided to give the poor inanimate dupatta, a voice. Here is what I came up with:
Khushi's dupatta speaks
Most of the time I got nothin' to do
I'm hangin' around for heck
The only modesty I ever protect
Is her pretty little swan like neck.
Lately though I've been a catalyst
Of a love story, no less
The brightest, cutest catalyst
The one with the most finesse.
My expertise involves
Fluttering coyly in the breeze
Making Khushi look lovely
That's easy, no big cheese.
The harder part is sticking
At opportune moments
In cacti and watches
In Arnavji's presence.
She's flung tea at his face
'Cos of me, she has.
And then she's made him smile
With an apology that had pizzazz.
Sometimes I fall off her neck
And sometimes on her head
It doesn't matter where I go
I make her cheeks go red.
He looks at her and looks at her
As if she's wearing nothing
When in reality
She's missing almost nothing.
He'll pick me up slowly
And hand me to her to wear
I sigh at his chivalry
And laugh at her despair.
She's funny, Khushi Kumari Gupta
She cracks me up all the time
Her modesty is outraged when
She should be enjoying the sublime.
Like yesterday, when I was pink
And she blushed to my shade
When he pulled me closer to him
And kissed her (I hurrayed!).
And today when I was yellow
He wiped himself off on me
I love his stubble, I enjoyed it
But I wanted to say don't, please!
That turmeric on your cheek
It's not just for good luck
Its anti-cancer, and Alzheimer's
OK I'll stop. I'm running amok.
The reason I'm a little
Out of sorts today
Is because Sh(y)am touched me
I'd like to see him filleted.
I may only be a dupatta
But I have feelings too
I don't like being molested
By that guru of cuckoo.
Anyway, now their love story
Has finally gotten started
You'll be seeing more of me
Writers love me, I'm highly touted.
I'll slip here, I'll fall there
He'll hold me, She'll shy away
In Hindi soaps, dupatta theatrics
Are all you'll get of foreplay!
