A sonnet from the Tongue-in-cheek:)

It's Friday evening. I was bored. I decided to spoof my favorite love poem of all time. Elizabeth Barret Browning's "How do I love thee" from Sonnets from the Portugese. (due apologies to the great Mrs.Browning😊)

How does HE love her?

How does he lover her? Let me count the ways.

He loves her to the depth and breadth and height

His sarcasm can reach, when feeling breathless at her sight

And making her cry, to prove the mighty ASR is right.

He loves her to the level of everyday's

Inexorable need, to say "What the" and see her ignite

He loves her freely, as he strives to be contrite

He loves her purely, and stalks her like a bird of prey

He loves her with a passion put to use

In every gaze, every touch, and with forthright delight

He loves her with a love he seems to lose

When she goofs up, and annoys him only to incite

Smiles, tears, of all of his life, and if ASR choose

He shall but love her better after the wedding night! 😉
