I actually have Pride & Prejudice in my Literature textbook for this year and I was thinking the exact same thing when I first started reading it!

But you gotta agree ArHi is so much more promising in terms of hotness and chemistry!😳😍

If you have not already, you should watch the P&P with Colin Firth its a long one but worth it! He is just awesome. Infact in one of his interviews he had mentioned that back in the days they could really not do much in terms of romancing the girl they liked plus Darcy's character is such that he does not talk much so Colin said, "I pretty much had to make love to her with my eyes" That is exactly what Arnav is doing 😊 An awesome job by Colin and Barun!👏

Here's an Interesting article that gives 10 reasons "Why women love Mr.Darcy" and ALL those reasons apply to the T for Arnav as well 😃 When I read it I could see the examples of Arnav's behavior for all those 10 points just like Darcy!

This is how I got my sister into the show, I kept telling her it was like Pride and Prejudice, she loves the 2005 movie version. Now she loves this!

Thats how I got into this show as well! Someone told me, "this show is about a hot-headed guy with attitude like Darcy" and I immediately youtubed him and saw some of his scenes then began watching the show took me a week to catch up-if I didn't have work and studying to do I would have watched it all sooner😆

Initially Arnav's yelling reminded me of Rochester bc Darcy never yelled! He's more Darcy now than ever!!!! 😍

Darcy lives in every women's heart...so its quite easy to relate him to Arnav.Similarities are too many...Colin firth was absolutely brilliant as Darcy...I must say...

That was exactly what I was thinking!!! Especially since the mom in P&P wants her daughters to get married and Garima really wants Payal to get married while Buaji really wants Kushi to get married (that might just be a universal thing though, lol). Also, in P&P they start off with misunderstandings but it's the way they keep helping each other that brings them close together (just like IPKKND). Now this story should have been made into a major motion picture (rather than Bride and Prejudice. I really did not like that, no offence to those who like the movie). 😊

I know! I kept thinking of this too and even wanted to post it...

Khushi is the modern Liz and Arnav definitely my all-time favorite Darcy!

He might come to her rescue like Darcy did for Liz - let's wait and watch 😃

The other similarities I find in characters:

Payal-Akash - Jane Bennet and Charles Bingley

1. Their love is more gentle, and less dramatic.

2. Bingley's aunt doesn't approve of Jane - here Manorama ji does not 😆

Ma and Babuji - Mrs. and Mr. Bennet

1. Babuji like Mr. Bennet likes Khushi while Ma like Mrs. B is really fond of her elder daughter, Jane, and is obsessed with getting her daughters married 😉

Anjali - Georgina Darcy

Mr. Darcy's sister who when she gets to know about Liz and Darcy is delighted with the match much like our Anjali 😉

Shyam - Mr. Wickham

1. Mr. Wickham charms Liz much like Shyam does to Khushi

2. He then dupes Liz into believing he is the wronged party like Shyam does when caught 😡

Buaji - Aunt Gardiner (maybe?)

1. Aunt Gardiner is the one that Liz confides to and the person that looks out for Liz. If you recollect that scene where Buaji has a face-off with Shyam, in a way she was looking out for Khushi. And when the ArHi marriage topic comes about, Buaji might actually help since she already feels responsible about having put KKG through the "Shyam" mess! 🤔

La-NK - Charlotte Lucas and Mr. Collins (maybe)

1. Hehe! Well Charlotte is Liz's best friend in the P&P and Collins has the hots for Liz but eventually marries Charlotte.

2. La and Khushi did become good friends. NK likes Khushi but it's not reciprocated.

3. A lot of members have mentioned that they would like the two to pair up. Who knows, it might happen? 😛
