I think so...

Raj's mother did something wrong and Raj's father kicked her out.Then he married Daima and they had Koyal.Raj accepted Daima as sort of his mother and Koyal as his sister.is father and Daima must have poisoned his mind against against his mother as well.

Agree. I think Raj's mother was working - could have been the bread winner. His father looks like nasty from the photo and also when raj remembered his past when his mother left him on his birthday, at that time his father looked a nasty man.
