Okay,so amidst all thats going on,the undeniable HIGHLIGHT of yesterday's episode,was Swayam's flashback.
Swayam sitting by the window,with a photoframe in his hand-everyone in the photo looking out at him,laughing,happy.He could see himself there with them too-laughing,yet,putting himself among such a happy bunch of people,at this juncture of his life-he feels somewhat out of place.
All the memories hark him agan-his friends,the pranks they've all played,the fights they've had,the friendly banter,the mock piques;his team,their dance,their battles,their strife to make their talents known-he's been part of it all.
Sharon-the girl he has worshipped,for whose happiness he could lay down his life for-he has had beautiful moments with her,moments where he has loved her,moments where she,though unknown to herself,has loved him.
And all of it seems to be fading away under the weight of that one stinging memory,that one stinging fear-the image of Sharon with Shivam.
How beautifully the flashback was picturised,so effectively all the scenes were put,as though pulling us viewers from the beginning to the end in one neat arc.
However,the most poignant part was,that Swayam tears in his eyes-yet,a smile on his face throughout.As though he was still trying to mask all his sorrow,and put on the brave face as he left.There's just this heartbreakingly angelic quality to him-Swayam is really one of the best-written characters we've ever seen-beautifully etched out,beautifully nuanced.
Most importantly-how BRILLIANT was Shantanu maheshwari during the flashback scene?His eyes-so plaintive,so poignant-did ALL the talking.
Shantanu sure is one hell of a performer.So PROUD to be a fan!😃
