Maan carried Geet into the hospital...her body was limping as he carried her...blood was still dripping...he probably looked crazy but he didn't care..all he cared about was Geet and the baby...that is all that mattered...
"DOCTOR...I NEED A DOCTOR NOW!" He yelled loudly...he places her on top of a empty stretcher..he sees a doctor..he quickly runs to the doctor and drags him toward Geet..."Make her better! Save her and the baby! If anything happens I won't leave anyone! Understand?!"
The doctor quickly nodes and brings her inside the room...Maan held Geet's hand as the doctor checked up on her..the nurses dressed her wounds and gave her necessary stitches...
"We need to do blood work, scans and nurse do a full physical exam now!" The nurses quickly takes Geet..."Mr. Khruana you need to let go of your wife's hand and wait outside while we check her completely..."
"BUT"
"Please Mr. Khruana there is no time for argument...we will shift her to ICU afterwards..."
Maan looks at Geet one more time before leaving the room...he sits on the waiting room chair with his head bowed down...for the first time he felt defeated of life of everyone...he didn't know who he was anymore...
How could he be so selfish?
How can he gamble away her and his baby's life for revenge?

No! I failed...I failed as a husband and even as a father..I couldn't protect them like I promised...I was and always has been a shetan...
He gets up walking around trying to calm down his anger..he was angry at himself...all his life he had learned how to punish others but how can he punish himself? How can he punish himself for being the very same person that he hated? He almost gave the same faith that his father gave his mother unknowingly. He was like him to some extent...his stubbornness and his anger almost killed his Geet..
The only person that has right to punish him is Geet...Yes...Geet will decide his faith..he is her main culprit...she can punish him anyway she wants..if she decides not to talk to him forever then that is the punishment he is willing to take, if she decides to leave him then he will forever live without her...he will be happy no matter what as long as he knows she is alive and safe..he will accept her punishment..he doesn't deserve forgiveness...
He saw the doctors transferring to an ICU..the doctor comes up to him
"We did full exam...so far we can't say anything until the reports come back...if you like you can sit with your wife..."
Maan: How is she?
"she is unconscious...Mr. Khruana normally I would call the police in cases like these but knowing your status and your high contacts we can't do anything even if we wanted to"
Maan: What do you mean?
"Who beats a pregnant women? If you can't manage to take care of your wife and your child then why even have them? (Maan looks at her with anger but she was right...he didn't know what to say...she was right...the doctor looks at him with anger and leaves...
Maan looks at Geet from outside the window..he didn't have the guts to go inside...doctor's words, her screaming and yelling for him made his body fill with guilt. Her head, neck, arms were wrapped with bandage...he looks at her stomach..."the baby" he didn't have the guts to go touch the baby...
"did he have the rights on the baby?"
"what will he tell his kid that he almost killed him?"
"That he was not able to protect his mother when she needed him the most?"
"he failed as a father and a husband..."
His eyes fills up...he was completely broken now..the person that could've healed him is fighting for her life now...he sits down on the chair running his fingers in his hair with anger...
"You know being angry won't solve anything...I learned that the hard way" Maan looks up when he heard a familiar voice...he looks at him with anger...
Maan (stands up) what are you doing here? To see if I am still strong or not?
Rajvir: No...I wanted to see if you are alright..please beta
Maan: DON'T call me beta! You have no right on that!
Rajvir; I know..I lost that right but please believe me I don't want you seeing hurt...I just wanted to see if you are okay
Maan: Okay? No am not okay! My wife is in there fighting for her life and so is our baby all BECAUSE OF YOU! You turned me into this shetan! You made me like this! I have the same blood running into me that I hate! YOUR BLOOD!
Rajvir: For how long will you blame me Maan? I admit what I did was wrong and I did and am still paying for my mistakes! Not one day goes by when I don't live in regret...when I don't think about what I did. It hurts to know that I wasn't there for you to see you grow up..it hurts to see what has become of you! But i have to live with the fact that I cannot undue what has already been done! I am trying Maan...I truly am...
I don't know how else to make you believe that I have changed...I guess I am meant to live the rest of my life alone in guilt because of my mistakes...(he comes near Maan...raises his hand and touches him on his face..Maan looks at him) Come out of the past...you will not be able to live in the present or look ahead to the future with Geet if you don't let go of the past! (Maan touches his hand that was on his face..Rajvir looks at him with a smile..Maan throws his hand away...)
Maan: Just go away! (Rajvir looks at him with pain and begins walking away...he was still bleeding..Maan noticed that he was limping while walking..) Wait! (Rajvir turns around happy that he finally is able to accept him...Maan stands in front of him...he takes out money and hands it to Rajvir) That is for saving my Geet..the doctors here will treat your leg for free and you can keep the extra money for other expenses...
Maan walks away from him and stands in front of Geet's room again...Rajvir looks at Maan before leaving...in the front of the hospital he sees an elderly women..he gives the money to her.

It has been three hours since Geet has been unconscious...the blood reports had come back and to Maan's relief the baby was fine but still nothing can be told for sure until she comes out of her unconsciousness...due to a large amount of blood lost, they had to place an Iv tube and blood..Maan looks at her with helplessness...it pained him to see her covered with wires and needles...he still hadn't stepped inside the room to hold her hand...
Maan closed his fists in anger..he made sure that Dev and Pammi get what they deserved...he had them transferred to an abandoned house where they will receive their punishment everyday until they die...he will make them pay three times worse for laying their fingers on Geet especially Dev...
He comes out of his thoughts when he heard Geet screaming his name...he goes inside the room not being able to stand it any longer
"MAANN...baachhaaa"
Maan holds her hand and hugs her...
"Geet am here...am here..."
She opens her eyes and hugs him tight looking at the door...
"woh aayega mujhe maarne ke liye..."
Maan: Geet no...no one would come...am here now...(the doctors come in the room and check on her but she gets scared and hugs him tighter seeing Dev all around..)
Geet: Maan..he is here..he is here...look...(Maan looks at the doctor) he wants to kill the baby...GET OUT!!! MAAN HELP!!
Maan (looks at her with pain and hugs her back..he motions the doctors to leave..she calms down a little...) ssshh..they are gone...sshh
Geet: You won't leave me na?
Maan: No..I won't...(he makes her lie down...and holds her hand) Go to sleep Geet...you need rest..the baby needs rest too (he puts his hand on her stomach..she nodes her head yes and holds his hand tighter...Maan puts his head on her chest...she strokes his hair as both fall asleep together holding hands)
