Better ROMANTIC film of 90's

😉😭 I am sure we all miss the 90's and how films were obviously better in those times. But, I don't think we ever had a topic to discuss which was the better ROMANTIC film of the 90's, DDLJ or HAHK?! I thought HAHK was better because of Madhuri's amazing acting and dancing. She made that film for what it was. Kajol was equally amazing in DDLJ, but she never had the magic of Madhuri in my opinion. As for the males, Salman showed better restraint and acting at that time. However, SRK had a much better performance in DDLJ. Please share your thoughts. Which was better, DDLJ or HAHK?!

Hmm tbh I never thought of HAHK as a romantic film. It's more of a family drama with a romantic track in it whereas DDLJ is all about Raj and Simran's love story.

I think a better comparison would be MPK vs DDLJ...or QSQT vs DDLJ vs MPK 😊

HAHK is a pretty good film, it reminds me a bit of the "K3G" feel or Hum Saath Saath Hain. But my vote goes to DDLJ. I watched it when i was like 4/5 back in India and I remember being extremley effected by it and completley blown away by the romance of the film. Like most indian kids who were young in the 90's DDLJ was very impactful.

I know times have changed, but i can still listen to Ruk Ja O Dil Deewane and dance alone in my room. Back then SRK was charming and boyish, and Kajol was a beautiful mix of woman and girl. DDLJ is a classic charmer, i will always love it.

Both are nice...but back in the 90s, i found salman wayyy more charming than SRK...although i liked DDLJ aswell...HAHK was the one which left a real impact on me...all the song and dance, and madhuri and salman were ridiculously cute in the film...HAHK is emotionally more close to me because its the first movie i ever watched..(i was like 2 when the movie released)

DDLJ! HAHK doesn't have a Mere Khwaabon mein jo aye :D

But seriously DDLJ had a good mix of everything. Some good scenes a bit of cheesiness. I really liked Anupam and SRK's characterisation and how well they played off each other.

HAHK for sure. I like both but something about HAHK gets me all the time. And as smartie mentioned above Salman and Madhuri were just so friggin adorable in the movie!

I loved both movies! But i watched HAHK first...and i was a little kid when i watched it. I remember that i loved the movie but i never knew the name of the movie till a few years later 😆. Madhuri and Salman were so freaking adorable! DDLJ is just simply charming and cute! Love them both...but it has to be HAHK for me. The FIRST bollywood movie i watched and fell in love with.
