No there are punjabi sharmas as well. Here the family is punjabi. Kutumb sharma dresses exactly like a punjabi matriarch with her punjabi suit, jooda and round gold earrings.
My close friend is a punjabi brahmin like the sharma family and the chandni chowk house reminded me of her house with the manji (cots), low furniture, open space in center!!
Delhi is majorly populated by punjabi's since indo-pak partition. All hindu punjabi refugees were given piece of land in Delhi, majorly towards north of delhi. Old Delhi has concentrated muslim population, and rest of delhi has original population of haryanvi jats. Since independence as Delhi was capital, we also see mix of indian population as they served indian govt and chose to permanently settle in delhi. You can see your bengali population as well 😉 in south delhi like rest of indians.
