It seems that Star Plus is all set to make major changes in its programming schedule. Tellychakkar.com has been receiving leads from credible sources that Shakuntalam Telefilms' Sapno Se Bhare Naina and Shobana Desai Productions'Hamari Devrani are all set to face the axe. Both the shows will go off air on 3 February 2012.
"The channel was not happy with the numbers so decided to take the shows off the airwaves. To fill the vacuum, Sasural Genda Phool (Ravi Ojha Productions) andNavya (Swastik Pictures) have been shifted to the afternoon slot. Many production houses are pitching good concepts and the channel is slowly taking out its older shows to pave way for the new ones. After DJ's Maryada, now it's turn of Sapnoand Hamari," says a source.
We called up Shyamasis Bhattacharya of Shakuntalam Telefilms (makers ofSapno Se Bhare Naina) and Shobhana Desai of Shobhana Desai Productions (makers of Hamari Devrani) but they both remained unavailable. Siddharth Tiwaryof Swastik Pictures also remained out of reach.
However, Parvati Vaze, who plays Naina in Sapno Seβ¦, said that she is not sure about the show going off air but has heard about the development. "But nothing has been conveyed officially," she added.
Jay Soni, who plays Ishaan in Sasural Genda Phool, sounded shocked to hear the news. "I have no idea about it. I can't really comment anything." But Ragini Khanna aka Suhana rubbished the news stating that rival production houses are targeting the show. "Sasural is here to stay for a long time," she added.
Snigdha Pandey aka Rama of Navya went on to say, "People have been asking if my show is being shifted to the afternoon slot, but I think these are mere rumours."
