When is Baabul releasing?
We will be shooting the last schedules from the end of June and will wrap it up by August. Baabul is tentatively seen as a November release.

Do you think the Hema-Amitabh pair will click this time too?
Both Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini are excellent actors. But unlike in Baghban, where the focus was on them, Baabul sees them in a very different light. I hope it works again.

Like all your films, Baabul carries a strong social message. Elaborate.
Amitji plays a father-in-law trying to find a husband for his daughter-in-law Rani after his son Salman's death. The film dwells on the subject of remarriage. My father always made socially relevant films. His Ek Hi Raasta was about widow rehabilitation. And Baabul is also on the same theme.

We have seen Salman and Rani together before. How is the chemistry between John and Rani?
Excellent. This is for the first time that the audience will get to see Rani Mukerji and John Abraham getting involved in an emotional relationship. I'm thoroughly satisfied with their performances.

You've recently launched a mega-serial Viraasat — Nafrat Ke Khel Mein, Do Dilon Ki Chaahat. Will you be left with enough time to direct it?
No, but I will certainly be involved with the show and even direct some episodes, whenever I have the time.
