Maan: Geet, papa k jaane k baad I really don't know who to look upto for making important decisions in life... Daadi and Maa are there but I know they won't share their problems with me... If I say I want this, they would get it for me even if it's very difficult... If I make a decision, even if it's wrong or right they would support me completely... The same is valid for u too... U will also support me whatever be the situations... But then I feel agar mere decision se kisi ko koi problem ho gayi to??? If it hurts someone???

Geet: Aisa kyun soch rahe ho... Tumhare decision se kisi ko problem kaise ho sakti hai??? Waise bhi tum Geet Handa k best friend ho... One of the... Oops sorry... The only person till date to be blessed with this designation...

Maan: Geet, tumhe ismein bhi mazaak soojh raha hai??? I am pretty serious...

Geet: Maan, tum faltu hi tension le rahe ho... I am sure u will not take a decision which can hurt someone...

Maan: Issi vishwas se to darr lag raha hai...

Geet: Waise abhi aisa kaunsa decision lena hai tumko???

Maan: Pata hai papa k jaane k baad, I found a letter addressed to me in his closet... He must have written it sometime back... He wanted me to get into School of Planning and Architecture...

Geet: Isnt that the best college of architecture in India???

Maan: Yes it is... But to get into the college I have to get good marks in the board exams as well as clear the entrance exam with a very good rank... Pata nahi kaise kar paaunga... I have always been just average in studies...

Geet: Maan, what I feel is there isn't anything that u cant achieve... Aim high and I am sure you'll b able to do it...

Maan: It was his dream that I get into this college just because he couldn't... He always dreamt of me getting into this college so that his wish is fulfilled... Its his last wish Geet and I want it to be fulfilled in any way...

Geet: Itna difficult nahi hai Maan trust me... U just need to work hard... Thode din ke liye lets forget about business and other things... Lets concentrate on studies only... Have u filled in the application for the college...???

Maan: Haan... I have done it already... But agar nahi hua to??? What if I am not able to fulfil my dad's last wish...???

Maan gets up and goes towards the window facing outside...

Maan: Geet, first time ever in my life I am afraid of failure... I know everyone around me and even my dad who is not around me have so many expectations from me... I want to fulfil each of their dreams... I never want to see tears in their eyes... And if I don't get into this college, I will have to go away... Geet, main jaana nahi chahta... I don't want to go away from home... (He breaks down)...

Geet comes close to him and holds his face in her hands...

Geet: Maan, ye tum kya keh rahe ho??? Y do u have to go away??? Listen... Pehle please yahan baitho... Have some water... Tumko pata hai na Geet can never see her best friend in tears...

Maan drinks water and calms down...

Maan: Geet, I know I have a future in architecture only... If I don't get through SPA that's School of planning and Architecture, I will have to leave Delhi to do the course in some other college which might be in different city... And main yahan se nahi jaana chahta... I cant leave my family and go...

Geet: Meri baat suno... I am sure you can make it to SPA... Aur jahan tak ghar se jaane ki baat hai, if by any chance we r not through SPA, which I am sure nahi hoga, to we'll figure out some other solution... Maan, iss time ye zaroori hai ki hum exams par concentrate karen... Lets not think of the result abhi se and pressurise ourselves... Isse we'll not be able to perform to our best... Aaj se tum sirf apni padhai karo... We'll aim for SPA...

Maan: But Geet agar nahi hua to...

Geet: Phir se if and but... Maine kaha na iss sabke baare mein result k baad sochenge... Mujhe pata hai ki u'll be able to do it... But please iss tension se khud ka performance mat spoil karo...

Maan nods his head...

Geet: That's like my good boy... So aaj se Maan Singh Khurana strictly schedule k according padhai karega... No more business talks and no more helping mom with her household works... Geet Handa can take care of rest of the things... Aap aaj se seriously padhai karenge... And haan together we can make achieve anything in the world and I am sure u know that... Right???

Maan: Hmmm...

Geet: God Maan, tum kitna bolte ho... Dekho coffee bhi thandi ho gayi... Jab dekho gossip karne baith jaate ho... Padhai karo faltuu ki baatein karwa lo bas...

Maan: Maan Singh Khurana gossip nahi karta hai...

Geet: To abhi kya kar rahe the??? Coffee banayi thi maine itni mehnat se aur tumne wo bhi thandi kar di... Ab dubara se banani padegi... Ufff... Princess Handa se kitna kaam karwata hai uska best friend...

Maan: Rehne do Princess Handa... Main khud bana lunga coffee... Aap jaake aaram farmaiye...

Geet: Ohhhooo... attitude... Papa aur uncle ne bola tha princess ko koi attitude nahi dikhayega... Aur waise bhi abhi princess ne kya bola... Aap padhai karo... aapke liye coffee hum mangawaate hain... Kuch level to rakho please princess k best friend ka...

Maan: Aahhhaaa... Very smart... nautanki karwa lo bas...

Geet: Hhahahahhaha... Jaati hoon naa... Tum padho... I'll get u the cup of coffee...

Geet gets him his cup of coffee and then goes to the study... Maan comes to the study after 15 minutes...

Maan: Geet, can I study here for sometime...??? Akele mann nhi lag raha hai...

Geet: Haan haan bilkul... Come here sit on the table... I'll take that couch there...

Maan: Nahi tum baitho yahan par... I'll sit on the couch...

Geet: Ab tum natak mat karo... Baitho chup chap yahan par... I was as it is reading a novel, I'll go there and read...

Maan: Theek hai baba... Jaisa tum kaho... Ab tumhari baat nahi maan kar mujhe apni musibat to nahi karni hai...

Geet (pretends to be annoyed): Its rude yaar... Huh...!!! Anyways... Padhai karo...

Maan: Jee madam...

Both continued to study for sometime after which Geet fell asleep on the couch... Maan notices this and covers her with the blanket...

Maan (softly): Thanks Geet for always being there... Being my motivation and my best friend always...

Geet (in sleep): Mere alawa... Who else can be the best friend of Mr. Irritating Maan Singh Khurana...??? (and she falls asleep again)

Maan smiles at her and then goes to his table to continue with his studies...
